Go After Dwight Freeney

I agree 100%. Force Freeney to respect the run so he can’t pass rush at 100 miles per hour. The offense goes as Blount goes.

Starting LBs Gary Brackett and Melvin Bullitt moved to IR this week. Blount should have a big night Monday night. Good advice on attacking Freeney early and often.

I’m with him on going after Freeney.
I’m not all that big on J-Free rolling out in this one. Two extremely fast DEs. I’m sure Free will be running a lot, however.

Before somebody says something, I know that Bullitt is a safety!

Best way to negate a pass rush like that is to run up the middle. Just ask anyone who beat us between 97 and 05.

Fairly succint analysis. No doubt that Freeney is cream puff vs. the run as good of a pass rusher as he is. Running Blount off tackle with Penn vs. Freeney could result in some much need Blount highlight reel runs. As far as koenen consistenly forcing Painter to go 80+ yards plus vs. our defense, I have little doubt in that “X-factor” coming to pass. Koenen truly has been the x-factor for this Bucs team so far in this young season.
