Seriously, does ANYONE think the lock-out will end after a single pre-season
rip-off game is played? Before the London “home” game actually gets moved…………to HOME?

We’re being played by very very rich people and most will actually be grateful for it in about two weeks.

How many lies do fans, especially season ticket holders have to hear before becoming kind of sort of…….maybe…….CYNICAL?

  2. Patrick Says:

ESPN said earlier this morning that Jerry Jones is already making plans for the Cowboys to start training camp on July 25th. Does he know something we all don’t know?

  3. Joe Says:

    Patrick:

Canceling or delaying training camp is a whole lot easier than trying to organize training camp in a handful of days.

Pete Dutcher isn’t going to like this.

    Joe

I have NO idea who Pete Dutcher is. Seriously.
I do think we are being played, the paying fans. When Goodell, an owners, the NFLPA says they give a DAMN about the fans for anything but their money I feel sick,

This whole thing is disgusting but like I typed earlier, it will be over before the owners have to give the season ticket holders any money back. The 18 game schedule? Another lie. They can claim they tried to help the fans deal with paying hundreds of dollars for PRACTICE GAMES! LOL

I really believe the NFL thinks their fans are just plain stupid and maybe we are.

  7. ATLBucsFan Says:

The NFL owners and players care about the fans just like employers ‘care’ about employees. It’s always about the money and playing lip service to those who put in the work or pay at the gate.

  8. Joe Says:

    Garv:

Pete Dutcher is a frequent, commenter here who is staunchly, irrationally pro-owner and has inferred the NFL would be much better off with scabs. He is also of he opinion that the players have locked out the owners and that the NFL is crumbling before our very eyes thanks to the overpaid players, nevermind that the NFL has never been so awash in cash.

  9. Garv Says:

Thanks Joe. I think we’re (the fans) are being played by both the owners and the players. I’m pro fans and I love the game.

Ironically, because the game is doing so well, the fans that made it so are made to pay more and more for it AND are played for fools.

It’s hard to take but we’ll take it just because we freaking LOVE the game.

Still hoping the deal doesn’t get done until the London “home” game has to be cancelled. August 1 deadline? I’m thinking that’s probably another lie too, just like the one where all 32 teams would rotate playing a “home” game thousands of miles away. Right.

  10. Patrick Says:

For all you guys in Tampa, it’d be nice in a way if the lockout ended on August 2nd. There’s no need for the Bucs to go to London.

  11. Captain Stagger Says:

At this point, unless Goodell and Smith and Boylan take the reigns, Kessler and the lawyers are going to drag this out as long as they can. They are the only ones actually making money the longer this goes…not only in fees but if they had their way they would fore go the season and peruse the Brady antitrust and get their peice of the 12 billion.
