Roll Call: No Ruud, Blount Or Cadillac
June 28th, 2011Now Joe’s not about to claim intimate knowledge of the personal lives of Bucs players, but one would think the players who want to be Bucs next season would be present — though not necessarily participating — at the players-only, three-day minicamp kicking off today in Bradenton.
Joe’s sniffed around at the scene long enough today to make the call that Barrett Ruud, Cadillac Williams and LeGarrette Blount aren’t here.
Have Ruud and Cadillac already gotten messages from One Buc Palace? Messages that reveal a cool interest in their services for 2011 and beyond?
It’s hard not to speculate.
And, of course, these guys could show up tomorrow.

The absentees either shows a lack of commitment to the team or a steadfast commitment to the NFLPA.

No Blount wtf?!

Yea Blount is from perry florida, only 3 hours away he really doesn’t have an excuse.
In reality as long as He breaks tackles and scores TD’s I could care less.

Hey Joe, how about taking a commenter from your site along with you to these practices?
I’d recommend choosing the winner based on the funniest user name

Is that Blount to the left, with the receivers?: http://twitpic.com/5i6h55/full

Looks like it could be Hunter. I posted just a moment ago on another page that Blount updated his Facebook saying he’d be at the workouts today. If he really isn’t there then I expect something urgent caused him to miss. Maybe a serious case of the shits or something like that.

Blount needs to be there most of all, given his struggles picking up the blitz.

he cant bring a commenter..he is just a blog guy…i was there..u can go

You were where and we can go where?
I live in Bradenton and these practices are closed to the public

But I think that Blount was there: the picture shows it and he wasn’t one of the notable players missing in pewter report’s article…
June 28th, 2011 at 5:27 pm
Joe, is it possible that Ruud was there but you didn’t see him because, as usual, he was as far away from the objective as he can be?
June 28th, 2011 at 5:30 pm
he was so far off assignment, he showed up at one buc place…. but he showed great form tackling on the security guard to get in….
June 28th, 2011 at 5:51 pm
Ruud is not my favorite player. Ruud was back home milking cows on the farm, doing strength conditioning on his hands, keeping up on the grab and drag technique.
June 28th, 2011 at 6:01 pm
@espo: I think Ruud was told by his agent to sit out for a contract…
June 28th, 2011 at 6:09 pm
Good one espo!

Why does it surprise anyone about Ruud? He wasn’t; he isn’t; nor will he ever be a leader. Even in his short prime; it was Brook’s who was the leader and once he left everything fell apart.

hunter, i think you’re exactly right. alot of this bs crap with ruud i believe is advice from his agent. either way, his absence tells me all i really need to know about him and his intentions to walk away from this team.

I meant Cadillac Williams.

Thanks for the clarification Jerry.
