Ned Flanders Is A Bucs Fan

February 10th, 2011

Not sure how many people caught the video below, a really neat video produced by the NFL, what has some of the iconic figures of TV history in various NFL team gear. Ned Flanders is a Bucs fan and his wife seems fond of Ronde Barber.

Joe Twittered this when the video was first broadcast: There’s a major mistake in the video. See if anyone can figure it out.

But I though Maude was dead?????????

  2. McBuc Says:

Well, hot didily do neighbor! Go Bucorues!

  3. Snook Says:

    Joe:

It looks like his wife is fond of Blount, not Barber.

  4. Bucsfan47 Says:

Maude is wearing a Blount Jersey not Barber. No idea what other error.

  5. JB Says:

Maude is dead, and I thought #27 was LeGarrete Blount?

  6. Matt Says:

Alf wearing a Panthers shirt when they didn’t exist yet 🙂

  7. HIRE GREG OLSON! Says:

Maybe she’s wearing a throwback Tory Cox jersey??

  8. Snook Says:

    Matt:

    I don’t think that’s the mistake.

The Fonz is wearing a Rodgers jersey before #12 was even born.

  9. oar Says:

Or maybe an Arron Stecker fan? Or Rahib Abdullah?

  10. Lunch Bag Al Says:

The Fonz hit a flat screen TV.

  11. oar Says:

Could it be the HD flat screen TV the Fonz hits, besides the fact Joe Buck and Aikman weren’t on in the 50’s?

  12. bucfever4o Says:

I thought the same thing as Matt, Alf was an 80’s comedy, Carolina was far removed from the NFL’s expansion committee back then!

  13. Joe Says:

    Snook go it.

Fonzie should have been wearing a Bart Starr jersey since Happy Days was set in Milwaukee in the late 50s/60s.

Wanna get picky? Maria was a Rams fan in Brady Bunch. But overall whoever produced that did quality research.

  14. lakeland bob Says:

Rivers jersey on wall as Brady dad closes door.Superbowl XLV newspaper in backgroud with Jerry and Kramer unloading trunk. Also could be a Favre picture next to newspaper.

  15. Matt Says:

@Snook/Joe: Hey, you don’t know that…could have been a Zeke Bratkowski jersey 😉

  16. Theodore Says:

How can a devout Christian like Ned not be a Saints fan? That’s the real mistake.

  17. Teddy Says:

Actually, I think the Fonz was wearing a Lynn Dickey shirt. He was the Pack’s QB at the time.

I thought the mistake was the black Falcons flag flying over the General Lee. The flag should’ve been red for that time period. The helmet color (and hence the flag background color) changed from red to black in 1990, long after the heyday of the Dukes of Hazzard (which ran from 1979-1985).

  18. oar Says:

    Teddy
Dickey was with the Packers during the 70’s, not the 50’s, which was when Happy Days takes place. They woud have worn those 50’s jersey’s #’s, not the 70’s when it was filmed/made.
Anyways, the Fonz if I recall, never wore anything but a t-shirt under that jacket.

  19. BigMacAttack Says:

    It must be the offseason.

    Zeke Bratkowski. LOL

Where the hell is Thomas when you need him?

  20. RustyRhino Says:

Who the hell is Ned Flanders???

  21. oar Says:

Ned Flanders is the guy from Spinal Tap, Harry Shearer!

  22. Hunter Says:

    @JOE: That’s a Texans jersey not a Bucs jersey….

  23. Larry Says:

The General Lee should be number 01, not 84. Is the 84 to make it look like the General Lee is also wearing a jersey?

  24. jimmy Says:

    It’s at 50/103, LMAO

  25. Jimmy Delach Says:

So Maude is a fan of Chris Ogbonnaya? (wears #27 for Texans)

Worth noting that the Houston Texans took the field over two years after Maude’s death (though Houston was granted the expansion team while she was still alive).

Interesting note: The “Simpsons” episode where Maude dies aired on 2/13/2000 – the very same weekend Tom Landry and Charles Schulz (“Peanuts”/Charlie Brown/Snoopy creator) died.

  26. bucsphan1 Says:

I found it in the ending simpson scene where ther is the whole crowd a dude is wearing a pirate hat with the buc logo yea whereis maude
