Donald Penn Heads To Hawaii
January 24th, 2011Hopefully leaving his grass skirt at home, Donald Penn will fly out to Honolulu this week to play in his first Pro Bowl, so reports Stephen Holder of the St. Pete Times. Penn will replace Green Bay tackle Chad Clifton.
Joe’s real happy for Penn, who is most deserving of the honor. The guy’s made 60 consecutive starts for the Bucs and been a stud for nearly every one. He’ll be the only Buccaneers player on the NFC roster.
Joe remembers Davin Joseph chatting about his trip to the Pro Bowl after the 2008 season. Joseph said he paid to bring along Jeremy Trueblood, Aaron Sears and Penn along with him.
In line to earn $7.2 million next season plus incentives, one would think Penn will be a good man and return the favor.

Isn’t Freeman going too, now that Rodgers is going to the SB?

Vick, Brees, and Ryan all got voted in. Rodgers never even got in. If one of the three didn’t play, I think Freeman would indeed go cause Rodgers is going to the SB.

Joe,
Penn would have to bring like 11 guys to the Pro Bowl if he was gonna bring the Oline with all the changes .. I can see Derek Hardman there now .. haha

Congrats Donald Penn! You earned it. The most dominant Left tackle in the NFC3rd in the league! He should take Dominick with. He’s the genius who found our franchise LT on someone elses practice squad! And that’s the most amazing part of Mr. Penn’s story! Way to fight for your dreams, Donald! We couldn’t be prouder of ya’

Aloha, Donald! I’m actually going to buy tickets to that thing now. Hey, what’s the status on Gonzo’s injury? Isn’t Winslow his alternate?
