Falcons at Buccaneers
Florio’s take: The Creamsicles could deliver the Bucs’ first — and likely only — win against a playoff-caliber team this year. The Falcons have been winning too many close games; it’s time for their luck to run out, if only for a week.
Florio’s pick: Buccaneers 24, Falcons 21.
I think we’ll beat the Aints too, IMHO.

Wonder if Sabby ending up in Cleveland had anything to do with Grudem.

Supposed to read anything to do with Gruden.

So you want the teams to fall in line and shut up, huh Florio? The teams, while being members of the league, should be able to have their own opinions.
There will always be people to play football. Look at the success rate of kids making it to the NFL. There are a TON more people who want to play then there are slots.
As a leader, you take action. If Mike (Tomlin) feels what happened was wrong he should let it be known. Same thing for Coach Morris.

Can someone give me the short version of what Florio is fired up about? I cant watch the videos at work.
It would give away the fact that I’m not really working at all.

1. Chuck’y is made of cheese, and cheese melts in Miami. Look for chuck’y to join the ranks of either SF or Jones.
2. Florio needs another bi-line. The NFL only exists because there are fans. If you do not include the fans as to why their favorite players may not be playing, interest will wain. Fans currently are fed up with the refs calls as well as the appearance of favoritism.
3. If the truth does not come out about Talib, people will continue to paint him as a trouble maker. The NFL would rather that happen than say that the fault lies with the ref.

I really don’t care about Tomlin whining, but what I didn’t like was him feeding us the BS of Harrison, who is going to make $3.5 million this year and has been fined $125K, has to pay for tuitiion for his kids. Especially in these economic times, common folk like us don’t want to hear about the difficulties of someone having to “get by” on 3.4 million instead of 3.5. I think it was Patrick Ewing who once said “We make a lot of money cuz we spend a lot of money.”

Yeah Tomlin can shut up with that Harrisons poor deprived children crap. The fact is the new rules are awesome. Anyone who is for helmet to helmet hits must think that a game is more important the peoples health. Harrison is a dirty player who makes a living off of dangerous hits. You can torpedo tackle people without doing it head to head all the time. If Harrison cant tackle people and be effective without being fined then it just proves he’s nothing but a dirty cheap shot artist. I wonder what Harrison will think when a doctor down the road tells him hes got brain damage from all those hits?

Harrison already has dame bramage.
But, we could use several linebackers like him though.

How come Lawrence Timmons, Lamarr Woodley, and James Farrior can all play at pro-bowl or near pro-bowl level as linebackers in the Steelers defense without getting fined for helmet to helmet hits?

To everybody posting that Tomlin & Harrison should shut up, I don’t care how much money you make, taking ANY kind of food off a man’s table for rules made up on the fly, that are purely subjective and reviewed by the same people doling out the punishment is a travesty. In what other job does this happen? How many more years does this gut have left in his career? 2? 3? After that, then what?
These guys have every right to complain and be heard on the matter.

He’s pretty much saying the NFL needs to keep the uppity negros in line.
I completely disagree with Florio.

Mike Holmgren wanting to coach again in San Francisco ?
December 2nd, 2010 at 8:46 pm
Pretty funny really
They both say Raheem needs to keep it in house: THAT IS WHAT HE DID. He essentially said “no comment”
The media, THEM, are the ones who kept pressing Raheem about it.
I am sure behind closed doors the Bucs coaches are not doing anything to enable Talib… especially after TJax
