Lightning get first preseason win over Dallas. This is going to another good year for Tampa Sports Fans. Rays, Bucs, Bolts, Trifecta.

Wow how the heck did you get savior out of what Clayton said there????
I agree that RIGHT now —— is hot for the Bucs but to say that Tampa’s early success is all on ——‘s shoulders is a little bit too much for me to stomach.
Personally I’d give the game ball from last week’s victory to the entire DEFENSE for holding the Panther’s running attack to resemble more of a kitty than a panther. Of course coming in a close second would be ——. But I’m not ready to slap the SAVIOR label on him – not yet!

From this video, and the previous article about the young legs and health of the team, I’ve gotta say that if this team stays healthy they may surprise a lot of people. Not only is this team healthy now, but the Steelers are down to a 3rd or 4th QB this week. We haven’t played the Saints yet, but without Bush, it could change their season before we even play them. A couple losses for the Saints could dampen confidence as much as a few wins boosts it for us. Not only that, every team in the NFL is gunning for the Saints. Matt Moore goes down with a concussion leading the Panthers to play a rookie QB. Detroit has Matt Stafford out for an extended period.
As the season goes along, the health of teams will be critical. If we can maintain our health it will go a LONG way to getting wins. Keeping these guys on the field, getting better each week is very important to the young guys. If they’re nursing injuries or recovering, they won’t learn as much and get better. Just a thought after hearing so much injury news around the NFL these first few weeks.

Derf:
Let Joe quote the very first sentence about the Bucs out of John Clayton’s mouth.
“The guy who saved the season in Tampa is Josh Freeman.”
Maybe you should read the definition of “savior?”
