Talib Missed The Suspension Fine Print?
September 16th, 2010Oh, no. Poor Aqib Talib. It looks like his wallet might get a bit lighter, and he might want to find a more thorough agent.
Using his nimble fingers on Twitter, St. Pete Times Bucs beat writer Rick Stroud says Talib busted NFL policy by serving his one-game suspension last week in the cozy confines of a C.I.T.S. luxury box.
Bucs CB Aqib Talib violated the terms of his suspension by watching Sunday’s game in a suite at Raymond James Stadium
Joe suspects NFL Commissioner Goodell will simply slap Talib on the wrist with a fine for failing to follow the rules. Joe hangs the blame for this screwup on the Bucs, Talib and his agent. They all bear some responsibility.
Joe wonders whether Talib goes to the game if the Bucs were not blacked out off local television?
Update: 3:51 p.m. – Stroud is now reporting Talib signed autographs for fans Sunday but when confronted at practice Wednesday Talib said he watched the game in Texas.

Yep, I bet he only went because he couldn’t see it on TV.
I remember when he said he watched the game, that was my first question…

Fine him and move on. It was dumb, but he probably really didn’t know. I have no doubt he knows football, but he’s proven not to be the brightest bulb in the pack.

Wasn’t not playing enough? He wasn’t allowed to watch the game either? What’s up with that? So what if he was in the box he wasn’t on the field right?

It was dumb. but I like it !! He wanted to watch his team. At least he wasn’t at the Trop wearing a Yankees hat ! Pay the fine and move on.

This isnt on Talib at all. He deserves no blame at all.Its all on the Bucs and his agent. And mostly the Bucs. They gotta know that a suspened player cant be at Ray Jay.

Like I have labeled it before….NFL (Nazzi Football League). It is absolutely rediculous to me the rules this league has. Big freaking deal that he cared enough to watch his team play. He did not play or watch from the field and had no communication with the sidelines. Screw the NFL and their policies and rules. They are lame.

God Rick Stroud is such a deuche bag; he really has a punchable face.
September 16th, 2010 at 5:09 pm
I agree with many here. It’s a stupid rule that he can’t watch the game. Real stupid.

RAT Stroud, Jerknalist……
September 16th, 2010 at 6:26 pm
So Talib lied?
He needs to be suspended for the remainder of the season.
Goodell should not tolerate this senseless behavior.
Rules are rules and he broke them, THEN lied about it.

I don’t get it… So where was he? Was he at the game or in Dallas? Or is that yet to be determined?
September 16th, 2010 at 11:17 pm
It is rather amusing that the NFL doesn’t even want them in the stadium. The player is already not playing and also not being paid. Does it really matter what else happens when the player has already lost money?

Negative…You are kidding right?
