Great, great stuff as always Derek. Your game breakdowns are the accurate I read anywhere. You and I seem to be alone in our assessment of the running game. Caddy looks great, the line looks weak!! I’ve heard several different comments-including the coach- who said the line looked good. I am more than capable of breaking down tape, and I’m telling you, the line is still making a mistake on every play that is killing the team. It’s like they take turns!!! But when you watch the trench, it’s like every play one of our linemen misses a block, is late getting to his block, or gets blown up. If they did at all together, at least it would only be one play. But it’s one per play. And you can’t find two good blocks side by side to open up lanes. If trueblood gets his guy outta the play, Joseph stalemates. Next play Joseph pancakes his guy, trueblood whiffs on his, same on the left side, though not as dramatic. Faine is probably the most consistant, but he isn’t exactly a pilar of strenght so far either. I hope they start to find their rhythm together soon, but they’ve played together a long time(excluding Vincent) . I’m just about ready to say we rebuild the line, because they have never performed at the level they should.

I thought the line was pretty good when we had Aaron Sears playing well, but we are not playing well enough lately to be the Power Running Team we fancy ourselves to be. I think our D Line will be key to this game. The Panthers want to run the ball down our throats like they did with Simms and Hovan still in Tampa. It is gonna be a different story with McCoy and Price, and our new safety. If our D Line can stop their running game, and i think we will, then I think Freeman and our receivers win this game for us.
I love to watch Dereks videos, and look forward to them!

Please, people…use some paragragraph breaks! lol
Derek had a pretty good breakdown, and put Kirwin in his place. Our offensive line is one man shy of being great in my oppinion, but I’m hoping they’ll get better each game.
I honestly don’t believe our running game is going to take off. Just like we had to dump our old WRs and get fresh ones, I think the same is true of our RBs. Hopefully 1 or 2 of the young guys either on the team our the PS will step up quickly.

Pat Kirwin thinks Trent Dilfer is still our QB. I think our running game will mature. Hopefully Huggins or Blount with come in and light it up spelling Caddy.
