What To Make Of Kellen Winslow’s Knee

August 25th, 2010

Good guy Stephen Holder discusses the fate of Bucs tight end Kellen Winslow in this St. Petersburg Times video. Holder seems to imply there is much to be concerned about given the fact Winslow likely won’t play in any preseason game due to his ailing knee.

Not only that, Winslow will be a bust from here on out. As his money is already in the bank. Wait, wasn’t that Clayton’s line too?

    Joe,
There may be a god after all. Check out this link!

I know this isn’t related to your story above. But It Seems the Glazers are beginning to default on their Malls! maybe we will get a new owner after all! My fingers are crossed anyway!

    Tampa2:

Joe generally doesn’t care about Team Glazer’s other business interests other than the Bucs. If this story is true, Joe fails to see how this is a good thing? Are you suggesting the less capital Team Glazer has the better for the Bucs? The dots aren’t connecting here.

Besides, this Andy Green character is hardly an objective source. The guy has a MAJOR ax to grind with Team Glazer. He’s a dubious source at best.

This is the equivilent of Rush Limbaugh digging up damaging information on Bill Clinton.

All the sports writers of the St. Pete Times always seem to be overly concerned about every injury a player gets. No matter how big or small. I agree that Kellen’s knee could continue to be problem, but from what I’ve heard, I don’t think it will detrimental to his play, as long as it heals properly that is. And that’s why you won’t see him on the field for the rest of the pre season.

  5. Tampa2 Says:

Joe, it was sent to me undated. I thought that you may have the resource/source to check it out. I’d love for the Glazers to sell the Bucs. And, No, not hoping for less resources better for the Bucs. But it could lead to the Glazers selling, and that would definitely be better for the Bucs!

Tampa2…Do a Google search on NFL Owner Ranking. Lat year the bucs dropped to the number 9 position, in the past they have been in the top five. Go read about each owner and tell me you want to see the Bucs go to someone else. How old are you? Do you not remember the 70’s and 80’s?

Gatorbuc…You are correct. I think they just need something to talk about, so they make mountains out of molehills on a regular basis.

Anything with/from Andy Green is ca-ca. He has a vested interest in seeing Team Glazer fail.

  8. Gary Says:

Kellen will be fine. He is one player we dont need to see in the preseason, he will bring it when it counts. His knee is chronic, but the procedures have been “clean-ups” the last few times rather than fixing an issue.

Tampa2, please understand that the owners arent going anywhere. Taking that article as a positive for the Bucs doesn’t work. Of course the Glazers will show some signs of financial stress… we are in a recession! What did you expect, they would grow their wealth right now?

  9. MOBucs Says:

I wouldn’t play him at all in the preseason. It’s just not worth the risk. When healthy, he is an elite talent. We need K2 ready for the season opener! Cleveland had better watch out! Winslow is going to go bonkers on this game.
