Brian Price Is “Six Or So Practices Behind”
August 11th, 2010It’s no secret that JoeBucsFan.com is a media partner of the Buccaneers flagship radio station, WDAE-AM 620.
This means Joe gets a lot of love from the station — online and on-air, among other perks — and Joe returns the love and helps provide their unmatched online Bucs coverage.
BucsCountry.com is where you can find all that online Bucs coverage. Today the site quotes Raheem The Dream saying defensive tackle Brian Price is “six or so practices behind.”
Price has been very limited with a hamstring injury, and Joe is depressed. The kid needs the reps, and he might not play Saturday.
The thought of Ryan Sims seeing the field against the Browns is enough to drive Joe to hard liquor.

This is what happens when you run through every drill on the 1st couple days of camp like it’s the superbowl. Idiotic fans think you are awesome , but you end up getting yourself injured before the games even start.

Attention everyone:
Derrick Brooks just announced his retirement

I’m with a Joe. Just stay away from the Tequila. Nothing good can happen messing with that stuff….

@Mushmouth Idiot
Price has had a sore hammy since way before training camp. You could bitch about anything…

I’m not worried. If Brian has to miss the Dolphins game, then he misses the Dolphins game. There will still be plenty of time for him to heal, and get in plenty of practice and reps, well before the regular season begins. I won’t sit around and worry to much this pre season, about wether or not it will be Simms or Price starting against the Browns, because it will definately be Price.

Great comic relief, as usual:

mushmouth, you have got to be an idiot if you’re going to get down on a guy for going hard in drills. going hard in practice isn’t how guys get hurt, usually it’s just the opposite of that.

There are practices when you are supposed to go about 80% , and then there are practices that are called “going live” when you play at game speed. You don’t “go live” in every drill. FACT. This is how it’s done in the NFL , to perserve players health.
This is why he was looking so good in early practice. Wait until you see him get owned once the real bullets start to fly , and then maybe you will believe me.

He wasn’t going to win the starting nose tackle spot against Roy Miller anyway.

@Radio…Steve White says the old Bucs practiced like that all the time, and that that is what he sees missing at this years camp. Morris also said he had to make them go live because the intensity needed a boost.
