Bill Cowher Coming To The Bucs
August 10th, 2010Some fans might think this news is about seven months too late, but Bill Cowher will be roaming the sidelines at Bucs practice tomorrow.
Cowher is a special guest analyst on the Sirius NFL Radio Training Camp Tour (not to be confused with The Blackout Tour), which stops at One Buc Palace tomorrow. Cowher will join Movin’ The Chains hosts Pat Kirwan and Tim Ryan at Bucs practice and talk all things Buccaneers from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Surely, they will have plenty of Bucs guests and insider information.
Joe wonders whether Cowher will talk about who on the Bucs’ roster is a good fit for his a 3-4 defense.

I would love to get his sentiment of the entire Bucs organization over the course of that 3 hours. See if he drops any hints of love for the Bucs by accident.

(Cue the haters…..)

The most overrated HC.
August 11th, 2010 at 12:19 am
Dick LeBeau made Cowher, just like how Kiffin Made Dungy.
August 11th, 2010 at 12:20 am
But im not saying I wouldnt take him over Rah.
August 11th, 2010 at 12:37 am
The D,
Cowher was coach of the Stealers for 15 years. During those 15 years his defense ranked top 15 every year. Top 10 all but twice. Top 5 all but 6.
Dick Lebeau was only there for 4 of those 15 years, and he was a huge failure as head coach when he went to the Bengals for two years.
Your post is utter nonsense.

Not only that Bill Cowher has over 150 career wins…. more than Gruden and Dungy….. more than Gruden and Raheem combined 🙂

With the impatience of our fans (and at times, our organization), Cowher would have been fired at least 3 times in Tampa. He coached for an organization that rarely ever changes coaches and (shocker) they are one of the most successful organizations in the NFL. I’m not saying he’s not a good coach, but everyone will be screaming for his head if he has a losing record. Knowing that, he’d be a fool to even consider coaching in Tampa, and I can just about guarantee you he won’t.
August 11th, 2010 at 7:51 am
Our players won’t know how to act with a REAL coach standing over on the sidelines , instead of a babbling bafoon like Rah.
The shock of it may result in a little progress actually being made for 1 day.

Raheem needs to just keep his chin up and not take it on the chin, because chin for chin, Cowher is a better coach, and chins upon chins above what Raheem is now. Leno might give Cowher a run for his chinny chin chin.

Lol- big deal! So, we got another unemployed dead beat coach sopping up the free food at One Buc palace! Well , at least he’ll earn it today! Gonna have to run his ass off to keep Eric, Javier, and Thomas from knocking him down and blowing him Kisses! Poor smuck! If you guys get a time(which I doubt, lol), ask him what his plans are once he takes the Carolina Job- which is where he’s really going! And you guys take it easy on poor Bill- remember, chins are only skin deep! And if you don’t catch him, don’t cry! You still have yer” Chucky(spit) gone WILD” videos and posters ta tide you over! RUN BILL!! RUUUN!!!
August 11th, 2010 at 9:08 am
You would think you guys are 13 year old little girls seeing Hanson for the first time.
August 11th, 2010 at 9:47 am
Nick- yeah, it’s JUST like that! I said on another Post, some of these fellas try to turn this into a Romance post! I don’t even know there to go with that! I guess this isn’t our Dad’s NFL anymore . . .
August 11th, 2010 at 10:24 am
I towuld be cool to meet him. He and Gruden should have had a crazy face contest.
August 11th, 2010 at 10:49 am
Javier…I just read your post to me from yesterday, and since that article has rotated off, I will answer you here…sorry to everyone else.
I have never said that the team will go 16-0, nor have I said Morris is a great coach. I just said that we do not know yet. This is a hard season to predict, most experts are saying the Bucs will be pretty bad, but they are often wrong. I say 7 to 9 wins in 2010. I am not going to waste time by saying which games they win, because they have a chance to beat any team. Any given Sunday as they say.
August 11th, 2010 at 11:07 am
Someone should warn him that some fans in this area have mental problems and don’t like good coaching.
Thus, his spectacular record is actually a negative.
One way for the Glazers to prove the “money is no issue” proclamation is to hire Cowher.
August 11th, 2010 at 11:11 am
CaptTim and Nick, Come on guys and what about your “Romance” posting for Raheem?
BTW Nick, how was it the first time meeting/seeing Hanson? I myself, will never know.
August 11th, 2010 at 11:50 am
If Raheem is sucessful in winning games, and improving the team, i want him to return as coach! If they can’t win, and stumble around like they are lost, I want him replaced! The only difference is I think he deserves a far chance! I don’t hate him wholeheartedly because he replaced my Lil dream coach, as three people here do! RahDom hates him for an entirely different, an much worse reason.
August 11th, 2010 at 12:13 pm
CaptTim, Agreed.
August 11th, 2010 at 2:06 pm
lol O M G Cowher. It doesn’t matter what HC we have. The bitching will never cease.
August 11th, 2010 at 4:48 pm
Who the hell is Hanson? Does he play for Cleveland?
