Gerald McCoy Talks Bucs, Warren Sapp, NFL
July 9th, 2010Bucs first round draft choice and defensive tackle Gerald McCoy gave Alex Marvez of FoxSports.com a few minutes to discuss all sorts of things including the difference playing at Oklahoma compared to the Bucs, his relationship with Warren Sapp and what the Bucs expect from him as an NFL player.

Great interview.
I can’t wait to see him and Price in action on 3rd downs. Could be sick.
We still have Ryan Simms a former 1st rounder and Miller too… I am liking out interior more and more… they should be active. Get the Buccaneer’s fans back into the game, cause the fans do love some defense, especially when we disrupt the QB.

You can’t NOT like the guy..

If he plays even half as well as he interviews he’ll be a major stud.
This year, he doesn’t have to be great, just tie up two offensive linemen and let the ends produce. Next year… it’ll be special!

What’d he say? Marvez’s hair distracted me.

To quote Pinkley from the “Dirty Dozen”:
“They look very pretty General, but can they fight?”

Nice to see a reporter that isn’t a flaming Buc Hater for once. GMC answers all the questions well, appropriately and with humility. I hope GMC is our LeBron James on the grid iron.

BigMac, I hope so too. Just so long has he doesn’t pull a LeBron, when it’s time to re-sign him.

Bucs signed 32 year old Keydrick Vincent!!! I guess they’re really desperate to replace Zuttah. So much for the youth movement. Is this the start of the next plan?

I don’t blame LeBron for leaving. I would much rather live in Miami and be rich, than live in Cleveland and be rich and miserable. Dan Gilbert had seven years to put some stars with LeBron to win a title. Shaq was his best effort at age 40. How do they say it? Second place is the first place loser.

I hope he isn’t a LeBron: plays great in the regular season, forgets everyone else in the playoffs, and quits when his team is down.
I hope he is more like Sapp (on the field only).
