Hello, Kellen! Welcome Back To Tampa!
June 14th, 2010With the possible exception of Donald Penn and Josh Freeman, the Bucs most important offensive player is back in Tampa with his team at One Buc Palace.
Bucs tight end Kellen Winslow is at OTAs this morning, fresh off (another) knee surgery, so reports Tampa Tribune Bucs beat writer Anwar Richardson of the TBO Bucs Twitter feed just moments ago.
TE Kellen Winslow is at Bucs OTAs today, his first appearance this offseason.
This is good news on many levels to Joe. The first thing is this demonstrates Winslow’s knee is nearly healthy enough to resume workouts. Winslow also wants to be a leader and he can certainly help the Bucs rookie wide receivers, Arrelious Benn and Mike Williams.

Bad omen?: Both 2nd round picks are on the shelf AND the lone bright spot from last year’s off-season (K2) is on the shelf. At least McCoy is back on the field.

I can’t wait to hear the Great JimBuc’s take on this.

K2 should love Williams and Benn, as they should draw coverage away from him. If just one of them emerge as a credible NFL Threat, it will be good. But if both of them emerge as playmakers, look out. Winslow may have his biggest year ever as a Pro.
