JoeBucsFan.com Continues To Soar
May 3rd, 2010Those colorful Pewter fellows who extinguished their hand-held magazine last year touted the April performance of their Web site over the weekend. Team Pewter boasted how its unique visitor total of Bucs fans was up 10 percent from April 2009.
Joe is not impressed.
Why not? Because unique visitors to JoeBucsFan.com increased 119 percent in April 2010 versus April 2009, and Joe doesn’t even have a message board.
Hmmm – 10 percent growth versus 119 percent growth.
At this rate, Joe is poised to overtake those Pewter fellows by next summer.
Joe loves to compete.
May 3rd, 2010 at 11:46 am
Congratulations Joe!
I am here three times a day. You’ve put together easily the best Bucs fan site out there. You’re the man!
Keep it up, and thanks, as always, for the awesome content.
May 3rd, 2010 at 11:52 am
Always wanted to write those Hollywood movie reviews.
“Provocative”
“Strangely Addictive”
“A True Buccaneers Watchdog”
Joe is all those things. Always miss it when I don’t come to the site.
May 3rd, 2010 at 11:53 am
Thanks for the kind words safety and your daily dedication.
Much appreciated. 🙂
May 3rd, 2010 at 11:55 am
Joe likes to brag!
Say it aint so Joe!
Now if you could only get that exclusive interview with the newest Bucs ….cheerleaders 😉
May 3rd, 2010 at 11:58 am
Great Job Joe. But on that subject why don’t you add a message board? It would only help to add traffic and would probally be pretty funny.
May 3rd, 2010 at 12:03 pm
I like the idea of a message board too, but I don’t know if I can stand any more of Radio Mushmouth’s BS. Dude is a dedicated fan, but he is seriously unhappy.
May 3rd, 2010 at 12:08 pm
Joe here,
Fellas, Joe has a message board ready to go, but Joe’s not sure he wants to invest the time now to clean up all the profanity and other inappropriate material sure to emerge. …Sometime this year.
May 3rd, 2010 at 12:11 pm
Hey Joe, Just put a enter at your own risk disclamer before you enter the message board. That should cover all bases. 😉
May 3rd, 2010 at 1:10 pm
Joe,
Great job as usual but you need to watch getting into shouting matches at “haters” or those that just want to incite violence on the site. We all love football, but I for one dont want to see personal attacks by anyone to anyone.
May 3rd, 2010 at 1:12 pm
It looks like a 49ers cheerleader Joe. 🙁
May 3rd, 2010 at 1:13 pm
Joe:
Doesn’t JimBuc deserve some love for driving that traffic with his “maddening” commentary?
Yours truly,
Joel Glazer.
May 3rd, 2010 at 1:21 pm
Promise me one thing JOE, don’t become all about braggin over the competition. Understand this: Alomst EVERYONE who comes here also checks out Pewter Report and Buccaneers.com. We are fans. MOST of us don’t want to hear you guys bashing each other, we are all part of the same team.
Kind of like the radio. I like 620, bu can’t stand Sileo. I like 1040, but can’t stand Mark B in the afternoon because all he does is toot his own horn and trash the competition. His ego is massive and it is annoying, you can hear it when callers are talking and just says “uh huh”. It is obvious he is not even listening. Too bad to because it could be a good show.
Anyway, just remember that the sports fans are going to all the sites, reading all the posts and listening to all the radio stations, they don’t want to hear those within their team bashing each other.
May 3rd, 2010 at 1:25 pm
Joe here,
Dave – Joe firmly believes there is room for everyone in the marketplace. The more the merrier, but there’s nothing wrong with a competitive spirit, as long as everyone plays fair. The people will decide what they want to enjoy. Joe’s just a regular guy(s) with a bunch of contacts and decades of writing experience. Joe understands who he is.
May 3rd, 2010 at 2:06 pm
Sorry JBF, but Pewterreport owns you. But your site is cute.
May 3rd, 2010 at 2:19 pm
Really? Care to show a deed or a proof of purchase? Joe wasn’t aware anyone owned him.
May 3rd, 2010 at 2:56 pm
Nics pic Joe, It’s about time. You’ve been slackin lately in the Hot Babe department. It’s so much easier to read about football with a nice pair of puppies staring you down. Next 2 weeks will be slow, so take advantage of all the hotties around town. There were a few hot babes at Derrick Ward’s Pool Party.
http://tampabay.metromix.com/events/photogallery/derrick-wards-2nd-annual/1919995/content
May 3rd, 2010 at 3:00 pm
I have not seen hot babes on Pooter Repoire. I think PR has a “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy over there for fear no one will be left to run the site. They stuff the cheerleaders in a back room.
May 3rd, 2010 at 3:13 pm
This is exaclty the reason I stop coming to your site for long periods of time. While you offer some good content, and regular updates, this kind of tacky self-aggrandizing garbage is a real turn-off. I never see PR talk crap about any other site. It is enough to get past the awful third person writing that you guys think is so clever, but if you really want to compete with real websites like Pewter Report, you can’t act like small people by regularly trying to take pot-shots at other sites (which many, if not most, of your readers also enjoy.) And this is NOT a case of there being “plenty of room” for everyone. You are intentionally trying to polarize your audience. It is just bad business.
Also, you concept of growth is completely flawed. You truly think you will continue to receive 100% plus increases every month? Good luck….
May 3rd, 2010 at 3:26 pm
Pewter Report Shmewter Report they’ve got nothing on Joe.
May 3rd, 2010 at 3:28 pm
Feel:
Let Joe help you out.
https://www.joebucsfan.com/?p=25471
May 3rd, 2010 at 3:36 pm
“certainly cannot believe everything you read on JBF as they have been known take things out of context”
Point taken. But since I agree with that comment, I cannot fault him.
May 3rd, 2010 at 3:37 pm
Joe, your one example notwithstanding, I have never seen PR take a shot at your site even though they are offered quite a few opportunities to do so by their message board participants.
For what it is worth, from a pure marketing perspective, your shots at PR only underscore the gap. You have a good site. Just let it stand on its own merits.
May 3rd, 2010 at 4:10 pm
Joe here,
JimBuc, please, you’re an intelligent fellow. Joe has taken a miniscule number of “shots” at PR. Three. Four. Maybe five out of 4,500+ posts of Bucs news and commentary here over the past 20 months. To say these “shots underscore the gap” is just plain silly. The numbers tell the story. Both sites are growing. One is growing about 11 times faster. FYI, this post above is nothing more than an honest look at how both are doing, and playful look at the competition. Now since Joe knows his readers look at both sites, the site data is a matter of interest. For many decades, newspapers all over the country offer their circulation numbers and those of their competitors. Nobody ever moans about that.
May 3rd, 2010 at 4:12 pm
Joe here,
Feel wrote: “Also, you concept of growth is completely flawed. You truly think you will continue to receive 100% plus increases every month? Good luck….”
You need to re-read the post buddy. It’s year over year, not month over month.
May 3rd, 2010 at 4:29 pm
Joe:
First, I meant no offense.
Second, what I meant is that from a marketing perspective, taking shots at the competition is weak. The reason that PR and the Times etc. would almost never take a shot at JBF is because they only help you by doing it. This is why I said it underscores the gap, because it comes across as the “small guy” trying to get the “big guy’s” attention. Not saying that is factual accurate, just that it creates that perception.
Third, I have only been on your site for a short while. I like it. I have noticed on several occassions that you take shots at PR. In fact, in some instances I have trouble understanding what prompted you to take a shot at PR. Sometimes it seems to me (and I certainly could be wrong) that the shots are out of place, meaning you bring PR into a non-PR issue. Again, could be wrong. For goodness sakes Joe, your visitors often refer to PR using the same derogatory shorthand (i.e. defunct print . . .) So, not sure your math works, but whatever.
Fourth, real competitors don’t talk about the compettion. They just talk about themselves. It serrves no purpose and it can backfire. Your site is growing fast on a percentage basis, right? Great but by bringin PR into the mix you invite the obvious question: what is the difference on a unit basis? What is their 10% growth to your figure? No need to even have that dicussion, just be thrilled with your growth.
Your site is different. Why invite the comparison.
May 3rd, 2010 at 4:39 pm
Man you guys are really letting Joe have it.
I happen to like Joes pokes at the other sites. Its obviously all in fun.
Honestly I went to the other site in question last week for the first time and i wasn’t impressed. I won’t go to any site that thinks i’m dumb enough to pay for their “insider” content.
At JoeBucsFan everyone is an insider. (I did however pay for Justins draft coverage because that was well worth it and Justins gotta eat.)
May 3rd, 2010 at 4:40 pm
Joe here,
JimBuc – referencing PR as web site that folded its magazine is hardly a shot. Crap, it’s not even negative. Print is dying. It’s a widely known fact. Joe even wrote a news story about the folding of the magazine with quotes from PR grand pubah Scott Reynolds. https://www.joebucsfan.com/?p=17209
If you consider that defunct magazine reference a shot, I’m not sure what to say. Joe has fun with various references from players to news outlets, etc.
And JimBuc, Joe is well versed in mathematics. The math works very well, if you run the numbers, but Joe didn’t publish the latest numbers of both sites because that’s frankly a little boring to most readers. But you can trust Joe’s math and conclusion.
May 3rd, 2010 at 4:44 pm
Joe here,
d-money — Thank you. The sports world takes itself way too seriously. It is all in good fun, and Joe gives an awful lot of publicity to those other folks. Many in the media have privately thanked Joe for his promotion and acknowledgement. …No, not the Mad Twitterer.
May 3rd, 2010 at 4:45 pm
Joe:
This is not a shot:
“Scott Reynolds, The Grand Wizard of PewterReport.com, the Internet-only, Bucs fan site best known for its defunct print magazine and message boards”
Is that what PR is best know for Joe? Its “defunct print magazine and message boards”?
Joe, Joe, Joe . . . I see this discussion is going nowhere fast.
Thanks.
May 3rd, 2010 at 4:46 pm
Joe and d-money, I enjoy the humor too. Note I was talking about marketing, not humor.
May 3rd, 2010 at 4:48 pm
Come on JimBuc,
If you can’t see that that is a tongue in cheek jab then you need your funny bone checked.
May 3rd, 2010 at 4:49 pm
I meant the Jab about the defunct mag and message boards….
Hit the enter button too soon.
May 3rd, 2010 at 4:50 pm
Joe here,
JimBuc – Yes. After 20 years of a printed magazine that was really something special back in the day and, considering message board traffic is a massive component of PR’s traffic, I’d say yes, PR is definitely best known among the masses for those two things.
May 3rd, 2010 at 4:56 pm
You are a trip Joe. Good luck.
May 3rd, 2010 at 5:00 pm
Joe here,
Thanks, Joel. 🙂
May 3rd, 2010 at 5:08 pm
Another difference between this site and PR 🙂
May 3rd, 2010 at 5:12 pm
FWIW Pewter Report has openly attacked the print media, “fishwraps” as the owner calls it for some time.
They very much try to delineate the difference between them and the local beats and often compare, as they did recently, how good they are at predicting Bucs picks, recently comparing their mock to the other big ones and noting how only Mel Kiper Jr. and Todd McShay got more picks correctly predicted than they did.
http://pewterreport.com/articles/view/6993
I don’t see how Joe showing that he’s growing at a much higher rate is somehow any different than what PR does.
It’s growing and successful because it is a good product. I think of it as more of the Deadspin of Bucs coverage while PR is the ESPN of Bucs coverage. PR can get a bit stuffy for me, and for the record I am not in favor of a message board. Buccaneers.com and PR have already saturated that market, let Joe be different.
May 3rd, 2010 at 6:07 pm
Tom gets it!
May 3rd, 2010 at 6:24 pm
A “Rachel Watson Cam” might give you 5000% growth…………..
May 3rd, 2010 at 7:55 pm
Eric:
Joe believes that would be classified as “premium content”
May 3rd, 2010 at 8:10 pm
@Jimbuc
Big guy, you really got to get a grip. What business does not take humorous shots at a competitor? BK pokes at McDs. Pep pokes at coke. Dude, it’s all about business for each other.
If you do a little publicity research, “business 101”, each company involved actually welcomes the free advertisement. May surprise you as to how much one company’s stats will gain from customers checking out the comparisons!
May 3rd, 2010 at 8:11 pm
By the way, one thing I left out! GO JOE! Keep up the good work!
May 3rd, 2010 at 8:43 pm
@ the guy that said everyone on here reads the Bucs site and PR.
You are wrong. I used to enjoy the Pewter Report when it was in print. But now you go on their site and see Month old articles & them telling you to pony up money. So the Pewter Report has lost it’s allure for me. As for the Bucs site, if I want to read propaganda for the Glazers I can get my fill at TBO., which I do read. So I do not visit either site. As for Joe taking a shot at the growth, He is very light in his ammo. When I advertise for my company I use a bazooka. Joe’s site has just the right touch of controversy and some good opinions. And the chearleaders just look so much better here too. I’m glad that I found it.
May 3rd, 2010 at 9:07 pm
Gruss, I am a long-time business owner with a background in marketing. I appreciate the humor. That was not the point.
May 3rd, 2010 at 9:21 pm
“They very much try to delineate the difference between them and the local beats and often compare, as they did recently, how good they are at predicting Bucs picks, recently comparing their mock to the other big ones and noting how only Mel Kiper Jr. and Todd McShay got more picks correctly predicted than they did.”
The thing is, they cast a HUGE net in doing so. I used to get their magazine in years past and they would have one mock draft yet list a gazillion “prospects” who could be drafted at each position. It could have been the last prospect imaginable but if the Bucs ended up picking the guy, they would brag about how they correctly and accurately nailed a draft pick. Well, sure, if I listed 80 percent of every player at every position, id nail a lot of picks too.
They took shots at JBF a couple weeks ago with the whole Duemig-Dominik deal where Duemig went and posted a pic of his phone on his website. They take shots at all the local news media (that ridiculous “last comment” deal they had in their magazine, where they posted response to local quotes and reports, was ridiculous).
May 3rd, 2010 at 11:14 pm
I didn’t know that Joel “JimBuc” Glazer had a background in marketing!
May 3rd, 2010 at 11:20 pm
For comparison sake:
In the News media you have the lame stream media and the cable news outlets.
Puker Retort is to the Bucs like CNN is to news – around a lot longer but boring, plain vanilla and spouts the company line (Clinton News Network)
Meanwhile JBF is like the O’Reilly of the sports world. Joe takes 90% of stories and he is an analyst. Joe puts out his “spin” and his “take” on the [bucs] news. In addition Joe doesn’t let people state facts without challenging them.
So just like CNN was there first its viewership is stagnent/declining. Meanwhile FOX contiues to rule in the ratings.
So Joe1 and Joe2 – keep up the good work.
What say you?
May 3rd, 2010 at 11:29 pm
Hey Joe have you noticed any drop off since Jeff Garcia got traded and no more Carmella?
Couldn’t we bring back Garcia to “mentor” Freeman? 😉
May 3rd, 2010 at 11:30 pm
@JimBuc – I told you awhile ago that you don’t have a funny bone.
May 3rd, 2010 at 11:36 pm
Joe here,
Mr. Lucky – (That’s Joe No. 1 in the interest of full disclosure) Joe’s no Bill O’Reilly, although the spin does stop here.
Seriously, Joe’s not as smart and calculating as you and JimBuc and others give him credit for. Joe’s just a man with a keyboard and a dream: to unite Bucs fans and make a few Bucs along the way.
Although a major news outlet is planning a story about Joe, which would shed some light on what goes on here in the Caybrew cave. Don’t ask. Joe can’t give any details.
May 3rd, 2010 at 11:38 pm
Gruss222/tampa2:
Thanks so much for the kind words. Joe appreciates the feedback.
May 4th, 2010 at 1:59 am
Joe, no offense meant but help me understand. Does JBF have “field access” or locker room access after games? Do you get ANY stories “straight from the horses mouth” or just repeating what you were told or read? Seriously, I really want to know! I know PR DOES have FULL access and has for over 20 years. Their FULL TIME job is knowing Buc Football, not a part time job when not trying to be a shock jock on a radio station. And again, I have nothing against Justin ( can’t say the same about Dumb Dog) but really, where are Justin’s “credentials”? Seems like he’s just an avid fan like most of us and you are using him to tout your website. Maybe I’m wrong, but I certainly don’t think JBF is in any position to even COMPARE yourself to Pewter Report.
May 4th, 2010 at 2:03 am
Oh, BTW, that girl you have pictured (not YOUR picture) hasn’t been a cheerleader for the Readskins for 4 YEARS!
May 4th, 2010 at 3:59 am
Joe, I can understand and do find your jabs at PR pretty funny, but, rest assured, you don’t have to answer PR’s jabs, your site stands alone on its own, and you’d be a bigger man leaving it at that!
May 4th, 2010 at 4:01 am
P.S. Who cares if the chick in the picture is a redskins cheerleader, look at that cameltoe–enough said!!!
May 4th, 2010 at 7:06 am
Donny:
Joe from time to time has credentials through out-of-town newspapers for freelance assignments, the Boston Globe being an example. And Joe has proven that he can break stories without the precious access others beat their chest about. If you are a loyal reader, you already know this.
Joe’s first NFL assignment was covering an NFL training camp back in 1987 so Joe will put his resume up with Reynolds any day of the week, thank you.
As far as Justin’s credentials, he played Division-I football for a BCS school so off the top of Joe’s head, he likely has more credibility than anyone in this area who covers the Bucs, short of the analysts who actually played for the Bucs (sorry, Joe doesn’t count punters).
And you are right Donny. Joe can’t compare to the former environmentally hostile, colorful magazine. Joe never wrote that Doug Williams was going to be fired.
May 4th, 2010 at 7:06 am
And this is a problem, exactly why?
May 4th, 2010 at 7:58 am
Greg:
Thanks for the kind words. Much appreciated.
May 4th, 2010 at 8:06 am
Pretty good analogy Mr. Lucky.
Now if Joe can only somehow lure Megyn Kelly, Ainsley Earhardt and Juliet Huddy… (sigh).
May 4th, 2010 at 8:34 am
Don’t forget Martha Maccallum & Julie Banderas. Is it any wonder why FOX rocks the ratings?
Joe, you are definitely back on track now.
May 4th, 2010 at 8:42 am
Martha MacCallum
HIGHLY underrated MILF.
This always used to blow Joe away, the angst against hotties on TV news: Um, TV is a visual medium. What would you rather look at, Ainsley Earhardt or Candy Crowley? Please.
This is also why Joe watches Channel 10 news locally. Joe would much rather gawk at Hether Van Nest and/or Tammie Fields than Marlboro Gayle.
To paraphrase the late Mike Royko, Joe sees ugly in the mirror every morning. Joe prefers not to look at ugly the rest of the day.
Joe also understands the Channel 10 morning news team has plenty of talent, but Joe’s not a morning person, thus, has no time to waste in the a.m. watching TV news, no matter the level of hotties.
May 4th, 2010 at 8:43 am
Ha. Thanks Joe for confirming what I thought. “From time to time” you actually get a story. The rest is simply YOUR OPINION. Nice “cheap shot” at PR about Doug Williams. With your lack of class I stand by my statement that you don’t qualify to be compared to PR.
And just to clarify, I think it would be great to have 2 Buccaneer sites other that .com and I would welcome you just doing what you do WITHOUT the jealousy towards PR. There is enough hostility coming out of 620WDAE, except now [You know Joe’s rule about mocking Clear Channel on-air talent — Joe] Dog has to kiss up to the Bucs because, AGAIN, he has no “source” within the organization.
May 4th, 2010 at 8:51 am
Cheap shot? How is the truth a cheap shot?
You are absolutely correct! Joe’s better. When Reynolds wins an Associated Press Sports Editors award for investigative journalism, please feel free to contact Joe and Joe will happily write a story lauding Reynolds. Joe’s serious about that.
Joe was covering the NFL and a MLB beat before Reynolds learned his trade: a flack/sports information typist employed by Kansas State.
Some things never change.
May 4th, 2010 at 9:03 am
Joe, Joe, Joe . . .
May 4th, 2010 at 9:04 am
Marcia… Marcia… Marcia…
May 4th, 2010 at 9:08 am
Not sure that is better than Joel, Joel, Joel
May 4th, 2010 at 9:40 am
Joe should get the Pulitzer just for coming up with “the blocking icon”………………………
May 4th, 2010 at 9:46 am
I have two questions….
!) What good is locker room access?
No good quotes have come out of there since Warren Sapp left. Most of the time the players spout out the same tired old cliches.
And 2) Donny, how long have you worked for Pewter Report?
May 4th, 2010 at 10:39 am
Love the % increase instead of posting actual numbers. People use % increases when they are afraid to post specific figures.
Pat your self on the back increasing the site traffic from 100-220hits
May 4th, 2010 at 10:50 am
KOB,
Joe usually posts his actual hits for the month. This is the first time i’ve seen him post a percentage.
Why all the hostility towards Joe from you guys?
I mean the man is just proud of his website. So what if he ribs the competition a little.
May 4th, 2010 at 10:53 am
I think the proper analogy would be:
PR = Fox News / O’Reilly while JBF = MSNBC/ Olbermann
JBF acts like MSNBC Ankle biting the big dog of Bucs coverage in hopes of gaining a little attention.
May 4th, 2010 at 10:56 am
Joe’s not hiding anthing.
April traffic
35730 unique visitors (the number that measures IP addresses and really counts).
398325 page views.
Joe’s not quite been around for two years, has no message board and doesn’t buy an hour’s worth of PM drivetime airtime each week.
And no, Joe’s not Keith Olbermann (thank God).
May 4th, 2010 at 10:58 am
d-money: I DON’T work for Pewter Report. I simply was asking some VALID questions. JBF doesn’s (shouldn’t) resort to acquizations and name calling: a flack/sports information typist employed by Kansas State.
If you want to be treated with respect, then act like it is all I’m saying. Sorry d-money that you don’t get that either!!
May 4th, 2010 at 11:06 am
Donny:
What would you call a flack/sports information employee on the payroll of Kansas State University, Edward R. Murrow?
OOOHH THAT’S A SHOT!!! OOOHHH!!! NAMECALLING!!! OOOOHHHH. MAH-MEEE! I DON’T LIKE THESE WORDS! WWWWWWWAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!
Go hang out with the children and trolls at Reynolds’ Medill School of Journalism-approved message board.
“PI ALERT: The Bucs are happy with the just concluded rookie mini-camp. SOURCE: Buccaneers media relations press release.”
May 4th, 2010 at 11:08 am
VERY PROFESSIONAL admin!!! Again, my point is proven! You’ve got a LONG WAY go to to get respected.
May 4th, 2010 at 11:18 am
Wait a minute, a guy “Donny” comes on here claiming Joe has no credibility? Really? Wow Donny, Joe is scared.
Please define professionalism. Please. Is professionalism being easily offended? Virtually every answer Joe gave you reacted like a five-year old girl. OH, NO, THAT’S A (all together now… ) “SHOT!”
The only thing you have proven is you have zero clue. You’d rather be bored than entertained. You’d rather believe that a sports information (what word should be used, you shouldn’t be offended?) is more credible than someone who has worked his entire life in journalism, started long before Reynolds was working as a sports information (again, what word should be used. Don’t want to offend your sensative feelings), then you proved you are unworthy of Joe.
Goodbye ass (oh, no, A SHOT!).
May 4th, 2010 at 11:53 am
Donny,
Get a grip dude. You’re taking all this way to seriously.
If you don’t like it I’m sure Joe will be just fine if you don’t visit his site.
And the rest of us will defiantely be fine if you take your self righteuos hogwash on over to Pewter Report.
Joe gives people nicknames and pokes fun at people thats what he does. Its funny. If you’re offended maybe you should see if Oprah has a poltically correct Buccaneer blog.
May 4th, 2010 at 12:04 pm
d-money:
Thanks so much for the kind words and having Joe’s back. A cold Caybrew for you sometime!
May 4th, 2010 at 1:38 pm
Joe, Joe, Joe . . .
How strange that someone mentioned the hits versus the percentage . . . and someone else mention the small guy/big guy?
Joe has probably forgotten as much about marketing as JimBuc knows.
Oh well . . . to each his own.
May 4th, 2010 at 1:43 pm
Joe here,
JimBuc – (aka resident marketing guru) the term “hits” isn’t used any longer in the marketing field because of its inaccuracy. Sorry to break it to you. Perhaps your deep knowledge doesn’t extend to the Internet. …Look, the math was done by Joe and a conclusion was given in the post. The nitty gritty of the numbers does not interest the majority of readers to this site, so Joe didn’t put numbers in the post. Yes, Joe cares about his readers. …Simply stated, right now Joe is at about 41 percent of PR’s unique visitor total. At the rate Joe is growing, versus their stated growth …well you can do the math.
What’s your problem, JimBuc?
May 4th, 2010 at 1:54 pm
You people are being way unfair to Joe. He puts up a few paragrpahs saying he might catch his competitor in a 14 months, and you guys are all over his ass. …It’s probably fun for all of you to get a rise out of him, but get a life.
As a marketing professional who grew up in Tampa (stuck in Jacksonville), I can say that what has been accomplished by the site si downright remarkable. Anyone ever see a site like this anywhere else?
May 4th, 2010 at 2:44 pm
Kyle:
A boy (Joe), a passion (Bucs), an obsession (Rachel Watson), a modem (high speed cable WiFi) and a dream is all it took.
JoeBucsFan.com is actually a composite of various sites and blogs. Seems like the model Joe envisioned has struck a chord, both good and bad, with Bucs fans. Eh, Joe knows he’s not for everyone, but he tries to placate all Bucs fans in some way.
This Donny character, sadly, did get under Joe’s skin earlier because of two elements. Sadly, Joe took a very drastic step he has not taken before. He won’t be hounding Joe any longer.
Last time some clown did the same thing was last summer. Joe ran his IP address and it came up “Buccaneers.com.” His handle was “Ricky Rubio.” Joe threatened to expose him if he didn’t behave and he went away on his own, never heard from again.
Thanks for the very kind words Kyle. Much appreciated.

Damn Joe, you shouldn’t have banned Donny, your rants in this post have been pretty awesome, and it’s good to see you go off from time to time! I remember Ricky Rubio though, wondered what happened to him. Piss on the haters Joe, you put out a quality product which obviously a ton of us enjoy reading every day!
