The Pattern Continues For Mark Dominik
April 23rd, 2010Part of the main criteria in selecting players, the Bucs have made no bones that they want character guys, smart guys. It’s very clear to Joe.
Enter cornerback Myron Lewis, the Bucs’ third-round pick.
The Vanderbilt cornerback obviously is smart and his degree. And since he played in the Southeastern Conference, he played against some of the elite talent in the country, basically a Triple-AAA affiliate of the NFL.
Who is to say Lewis doesn’t break out. Ronde Barber after all was a third round pick. Now Joe’s not calling Lewis another Barber but the dude is big and tough and likes to mix it up.
In other words, violent. Just like Raheem the Dream wants them.

I dunno if he wants all smart guys, Mr. Benn scored an 11 on the Wonderlic. Just a tad above illiterate.

Price is not exactly a Brain Surgeon either.
We really give Dumbinik too much credit by assuming he has a philosophy , or even a PLAN….the guy doesn’t have a damn clue.
I honestly believe he just randomly pulls names out of a hat.

Joe can you put the Login at the top of the page. I just spent 20 min looking for it in old post.

Dan Marino scored a 15 on the Wonderlic.
That test is a joke.

I think the Bucs are doing an excellent job in the draft so far. I liked Benn over Golden Tate. Tampa has got a whole lot better already, and the draft ain’t even over. Good Job Mark Dominick!

The guy needs to trim his hair

Im not saying the wonderlic score means much for a footbal player, but it does show whether someone is smart, and speaks against the premise of the post that Dom wants “smart” players.
Thats my only point.

Dom has said many times (for those that will listen) that his philosophy is production over potential (call it the anti-Gruden/Allen approach), high character, football player over combine athlete, and leader.
There for the world to see . . . if your eyes are open.

production over potential huh?? Guess that’s why we passed on a WR ( Golden Tate) with far better production for a WR with hardly ANY production , and all potential.
Nice try JimBuc, but nothing is there for the world to see except a clusterf*ck of errors.

Now the Bucs just picked a guy , Mike Williams , that basically was stupid he FAILED out of Syracuse .
Bwahahahaha.
How’s that pattern working out for you , Joe ??
