SportsbyBrooks.com, a cool sports site that seems to focus more on the celebrity of sports than sports, occasionally dabbles in journalism.

“Brooks,” the guy who runs it, is a 16-year sports radio reporter from Kansas City now based in Los Angeles and once upon a time was a sportswriter.

So this piqued Joe’s interest when Brooks reported that Sapp had been seen around Miami the night before his arrest with a model that is not his girlfriend of two years, and who is the same woman believed to be the person who called he cops on Sapp.

Sapp, an analyst for the NFL Network, was in Miami as part of the NFL Network’s army of reporters and analysts covering the Super Bowl.

But Brooks seems to think this model that Sapp has been seen with recently may be the woman who fingered Sapp for domestic battery.

Persiana was photographed with Sapp, both giving an obscene gesture, on Friday in Miami. She’s also been pictured with him in the past several months in Las Vegas and New York. In Vegas, she attended the grand opening of Emeril Lagasse’s new sports bar at The Venetian with Sapp.

The first thing Joe thought of when he heard about this case was that Sapp or his girlfriend of two years had a fling with someone else. This just depresses Joe.
