On NFL.com, there is an interactive site for the NFL Combine, which begins Wednesday. On that site, no less an authority than NFL Network draft guru Mike Mayock walks viewers through all the various drills that coaches and scouts will put players through, why they have the players run the drills, and specifically what coaches and scouts are looking at and for as the players participate in the drills.

In particular, Mayock demonstrates a controversial drill for wide receivers called “The Gauntlet,” and why coaches loathe it; but scouts love it.
