Raheem The Dream To Coach Bucs In 2010
January 4th, 2010Joe’s good friend, “The Big Dog,” Steve Duemig of WDAE-AM 620 is reporting via his Twitter account and his Facebook account that Raheem the Dream has been retained by the Glazer Family to coach the Bucs for the 2010 season.
Breaking News!! Raheem will be retained and it looks like the Buc coaches will be coaching the Sr Bowl. Rah 2.0 begins right now.
As Duemig is also reporting, Raheem the Dream and the Bucs coach staff is also expected to coach the Senior Bowl later this month in Mobile, Ala.

ouch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
January 4th, 2010 at 9:01 pm
I hope they dont keep olsen as the OC. Our only hope now is that they hire a good OC for next season. I think Rah did good with the defense so if he hires a good OC and lets him have full control of the offense there might be hope.
January 4th, 2010 at 9:19 pm
Awesome! This should give us a real leg up on scouting the top draft picks this year. Hopefully they’ll see McCoy is over rated.
January 4th, 2010 at 9:23 pm
Vomit.
January 4th, 2010 at 9:23 pm
well finally we get a answer and tomorrow morning i will not be renewing my season tickets been a season ticket holder for the past 12 years but i can not give any more of my hard working money to the glazers cheapest hc and gm in nfl and now raheem being hc and dc glazers being even cheaper pay 1 guy for 2 different coaching spots been 30 million under the cap for so long i cant take it no more will watch the games from the house
January 4th, 2010 at 9:24 pm
Hmmm…last time Buc coaches coached in the Senior Bowl (05?) We drafted Cadillac, Ruud, Alex Smith and…wasted the rest of the 9 other selections we had : (
Here’s hoping we get it right this time!
Caybrews for all!!!
January 4th, 2010 at 9:27 pm
I just hope those poor kids are able to forget what they’re told once they leave the Senior Bowl.
January 4th, 2010 at 9:34 pm
I am about as inspired as I was when they retained Leeman Bennett for his second season.. I recall then it was about giving the coach more time.
History has this uncanny way of repeating itself.. or is it that people just keep making the same mistakes.
January 4th, 2010 at 9:38 pm
I just hope the Glazers decide to write checks this offseason. Raheem knows he needs talent so he is not completely clueless. Let’s also hope that they do a better job picking the coordinators.
Another season like this one and I don’t think it will matter who the coach is because a large part of this fanbase will decide to spend their entertainment dollar (what little they do have) elsewhere. I know I’ve grown impatient with this mediocrity and extremely cheap owners. Maybe if they spent money on players they wouldn’t have to spend it on buying 20 thousand tickets to avoid blackouts.
January 4th, 2010 at 9:40 pm
I expected it. The tight asses will pay who will work for the least. Joe, what really gets me more than anything is the way you don’t have anything to say with the way Morris smiled and chest bumped his way through the entire season. He acted like a man who didn’t have a worry in the world. No leadership, no passion, no handle on what was going on during games. He actually challenged a spot in Sundays game while standing right in front of the play. Needless to say he lost the challenge. How much of this do you think the fans paying thousands of dollars for season tickets will put up with? I guess it’s more than I thought. It’s mind boggling to me that the local reporters that follow the team dictate when change will happen. At least we can all sleep good knowing that the Glazerhouses have at least made 40 million this season.
January 4th, 2010 at 9:49 pm
The 2009 season has been done for only a day and the Glazers have already just flushed the 2010 campaign down the toilet. Have had 3 season tickets for the past twenty years but I can honestly say Im done. Have add enough of these lousy owners not putting their best foot forward to field a quality, competitive team. Have fun in your empty nest next year and as the season wears on it will grow emptier and emptier.
January 4th, 2010 at 9:51 pm
I figured as well. He should not have been hired to begin with. He better make big improvements in the second year. Maybe go through an entire season without firing a cordinator or quit with all these stupid chest bumps.
JK-That spot challenge was ridiculous. Wasn’t even close. And he didn’t challenge a spot when R. White clearly stepped out of bounds on a catch before getting a first down. He wasn’t alone on that one because senile Dick Stockton didn’t say anything about that either.
It remains to be seen if Morris is another Dungy or another Richard Williamson, who was way out of his depth as a head coach.
January 4th, 2010 at 9:55 pm
We should have a much easier schedule next year.. so this should be a 6 to 7 win next season, so that will be progress and therefore a Raheem 3.0.. hopefully this is a bargaining chip to land another coach but I doubt it. I am not overly upset that Raheem is getting reupped, but I do think we need some veteran football knowledge at the top. I can’t imagine personally owning a business that the executives mismanaged as poor as the bucs were this year, then looking at the failing performance and the falling fan interest. The Bucs will have to win me back with victories and sound decisions. I’ll be going to more Bolts games next year and Rays games this summer!
January 4th, 2010 at 9:55 pm
It’s all about the money. This clown was going to keep his job even if he went 0-16. The Glazers are cheap a$$ owners and will only spend the minimum on the Bucs. ANY journalistic HACK trying to argue otherwise is completely full of it. Since the Glazers won’t spend any money, I’m not going to spend a dime on tickets or anything else that will give those tight-wads a red cent.
This is the Culverhouse years all over again. I see a lot of people are satisfied with Morris. Well, I guess that means you’re satsified with 3 win seasons. This crap is only the beginning. If they win 5-6 games next season it will be a frickin miracle. This franchise is a JOKE!
January 4th, 2010 at 9:56 pm
Wish Chris Thomas was around for this
January 4th, 2010 at 9:56 pm
Yeeeeeeeessssssssssss Bout time they did something to make a stand. Rah is a damn good coach he jus had a bad situation to take over. I bet the results next season will be eye opening. Joe i live in South Carolina and will be in Tampa to catch a few games this season maybe i can find you at a local watering hole and the first 3 rounds of Caybrew is on me.
GOOOOO BUCS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
January 4th, 2010 at 10:09 pm
If I lived in Tampa I would organize and/or petition funds for a very large billboard Near One Buc Place stating just how cheap the Glazer ownership is. Paid for by the non-renewing season ticket holders of course
Four days into the New Year and it’s already bad! Mangini has more wins and he’s not keeping his job, so how is 3-13 acceptable for keeping Morris??????
I hope they have more than a half-empty stadium every week next year, so they don’t make a crum in profit, DIRTBAGS!
Sell the team and get us better ownership! F*CK the Glazers!
January 4th, 2010 at 10:09 pm
Well looks like another loosen season I do expect the glazers to fire him after an 0-6 start it will happen this is a big mistake by the glazers big mistake they will loose millions of dollars!
January 4th, 2010 at 10:11 pm
“Rah is a damn good coach he just had a bad situation to take over.” Dude, it’s obvious you live in SC, because the situation wasn’t one he took over, it was one he helped create! Just hope he understands the multiple errors HE’S made this year and learns from them, otherwise we’re in for a very long 2010.
January 4th, 2010 at 10:18 pm
The bucs will be 4-12 next year y because morris and olson do not know how to coach and win its gonna hurt the glazers and there gonna know it by all the empty seats cuz nobody will wanna cheer for a sucky team and they will be!
January 4th, 2010 at 10:19 pm
All the disgruntled fans won’t have to worry about watching the Bucs next year. I think after the first 2 games. There will be alot of black outs.
That will get the Glazers attention. The Glazers might actually break away from “Mangoo” dodgeball team to p$y attention.
January 4th, 2010 at 10:21 pm
Astounded isn’t a strong enough word. Buc fans finally turned the corner and got away from culverhouse and now we have to relive it. Are you kidding me? At least Gruden and Dungy gave us winning seasons and a reason to watch. I have been a lifelong Buc fan through good and bad. But just don’t think I can handle it again. I hope Gruden goes somewhere and wins multiple superbowls. All you people who wanted Gruden gone, how’s that working out for you. And Duemig is an idiot.
January 4th, 2010 at 10:22 pm
Our coaches are fine, it’s new fans that we need.
January 4th, 2010 at 10:22 pm
I just read the Bucs have not agreed that they will coach the senior bowl.
January 4th, 2010 at 10:26 pm
BlackmagicOO,
Hope you are right..after all it was Duemig that reported the Glazers had sold the Bucs a few years ago.
January 4th, 2010 at 10:29 pm
As a bucs fan I hate being imbarrased. Raheem will imbarrased us what r the glazers thinking I’m mean this is no tomlin this guy isn’t a winner and will never be one.
January 4th, 2010 at 10:34 pm
Duemig will have to addmitt that raheem sucks as a head coach. Just wait til we loose to the rams and browns and we know we can’t beat the falcons or saints or panthers
January 4th, 2010 at 10:39 pm
Next year the bucs will be 9 and 7 and yall can write that down
January 4th, 2010 at 10:44 pm
To add insult to injury before you know it Joel and Bryan will announce that they are raising ticket prices for 2010. There are no limits to the crap these clowns will inflict upon us!!
January 4th, 2010 at 10:46 pm
Justin, you already wrote it for us. Now we can bookmark your words and remind you how wrong you were!
January 4th, 2010 at 10:49 pm
alan thinks justin is an idiot. this team was lucky to win 3 games. 3 games. god almighty. alan has been doing research with the season ticket holders that sit around him and what amounts to 80% of those interviewed (16 out of 20) tell me they will not be renewing if raheem is coach in ’10. many of you don’t remember the 80’s and early 90’s. no one cared about this team and we’re oh so close to those days again. alan will be back again next year but only because i don’t know any better.
January 4th, 2010 at 10:50 pm
hey jake….tickets are going up again….not for me im giving mine up
January 4th, 2010 at 10:52 pm
Joe,
St. Pete Times claims bucs have not accepted invitation to coach senior bowl.
January 4th, 2010 at 10:58 pm
Not so fast, Joe… Your hero… and all around douchebag, Deumig is wrong… again. Just like the Bucs weren’t for sale… The Bucs are denying the senior bowl report.
January 4th, 2010 at 10:59 pm
There is noway on gods green earth the bucs being 9-7 it won’t happen its more like 4-12 or 5-11 still we will get blown out by the saints’steelers and falcons and ravens .
January 4th, 2010 at 11:02 pm
Hey Rah sucks! It’s only because the glazers don’t want to pay 3 coaches is the reason he ‘s still here. Oh, i like calling him rah because i sound cool. (lame!!!!) He’s made stupid decisions since day one. Why do we have to let a coach train on the job? I do think it’s because he is cheap and black. That’s the truth. $50 is like the cheapest seat you can get and we have to let this guy rebuild our team? Whatever! This sucks. Does anyone listen to him talk??? “that’s a grown man team that beat us today” really? really?……………….. I’m over this shit!
January 4th, 2010 at 11:08 pm
As i have said before on this subject, i will not renew and ive had mine since 1979..Hope you like a half filled stadium Glazers
January 4th, 2010 at 11:26 pm
zech Says:
“As a bucs fan I hate being imbarrased. Raheem will imbarrased us what r the glazers thinking I’m mean this is no tomlin this guy isn’t a winner and will never be one.”
If you hate being embarrassed, you should do yourself a favor and use spell check.
January 4th, 2010 at 11:27 pm
I’ll be renewing. Rheem, Dom, and Olsen are our guys. They’ve been around for years and I hope they find success. I’m glad they get a 2nd year to show what they can do. Any man is capable of great things. It amazes me how many of you think our guys are incapable of turning this thing around.
Go Bucs! Tampa supports you!
January 4th, 2010 at 11:35 pm
Oh boy! Fly can’t wait for a 5-11 season and another top 5 draft pick! Looks like there will be a lot of fishing on Sundays next season.
January 4th, 2010 at 11:55 pm
He was rewarded for changing things back to the way they were before he took over… great!
Dont worry Bucs fans Im sure they wont do anything else stupid… will they?
January 5th, 2010 at 12:29 am
I should use a spell check! Ur a joke! I’m so dissapointed if u raheem lovers think he will win next season I doubt it 4-12 or 5-11 still he get fired next season and I can’t wait cuz he will never win us a superbowl anyway!!
January 5th, 2010 at 12:32 am
Thank you JoeMurgia, I was just waiting for somebody to make that joke.
January 5th, 2010 at 12:34 am
WOOOOOO Yeah 3-13 heres to 5-11 next year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
January 5th, 2010 at 12:42 am
Does anyone think raheem can win next season I mean I don’t know about anybody else I just don’t see it!
January 5th, 2010 at 1:02 am
zech, I’ll go with what I predicted for this season 5-6 wins.
Break out the Caybrew, 2010 is going to be loooooooooong and painful.
January 5th, 2010 at 1:22 am
Massive case of snarling groupthink.
I think he can win next season.
I think the worst is behind us and that they’re building something good.
January 5th, 2010 at 1:41 am
Whoever said that they’ve renewd their tickets since 79′ is full of crap! This bucs team have had similar seasons like this but you still renewd? Whats the diff. with this season?? Ya’ll knew we were going to have a bad season this year. We were in for a 3-13 season this year anyways. This is what happens when the old regime before ruins the salary cap/ not draft well, and the new regime has to clean it up. If we do it right we should spend money because the Glazers know that this ” Fan Base” can be a bunch of crybabies. You want a winning team? Then build it right, it takes time. Ohh yeah someone made a remark about how Coach Morris is no Tomlin. Coach Tomlin had a good team already when he took over for Cowher. Morris didn’t have anything! Get yo facts straight.
January 5th, 2010 at 1:50 am
I agree with you Zech, we’re a 4-12 to 5-11 team at best. Besides, what free agent will come Tampa Bay when they know the coach is basically on a one-year deal for cheap owners who aren’t committed to winning or paying for top free agents? I guess we’ll sell them on the warm weather and no tax in Florida…lol
Also, what qualified coordinator do they hope will work for Morris when he basically fired two in the same season because he couldn’t find anyone else to blame for the losing or lack of inexperience?
Too many questions, not enough answers. Its going to be a long season.
Raheem Morris ——> “you get what you pay for”
January 5th, 2010 at 2:02 am
*correction: Raheem Morris = you get what you pay for
January 5th, 2010 at 2:47 am
damn that morris is goina be a winner and didn’t gruden the superbowl winning coach go 4-12 and 5-11 the draft is great this is a younger league, this kids are strong if we had t-jax the first 4 games or faine going down the season would have been alot different, think about not sabby and berry being there wins and a wideout
January 5th, 2010 at 2:50 am
just read it twice and it will make sense
January 5th, 2010 at 9:46 am
Yeah Mike, I read it three times and it is still fuzzy…
January 5th, 2010 at 10:53 am
Bucsfanforlife, i am not full of crap.I didnt say i wouldnt cheer for the Bucs, just not renew.I was 26 when i bought tickets in 1979 and i was dedicated as you..we were one game away from the super bowl in that year and the future was bright. When Culverhouse didnt sign Doug Williams, we went on a losing streak from 1983 through 1996. I was there for those losing seasons and all i wanted was a super bowl before i died. We did that..Now i see the Glazers turning into Culverhouse..i refuse to spend my time, emotions and money for what ive seen before..i cant do that anymore.
January 5th, 2010 at 11:15 am
It’s about the dolllars. Why didnt the boys interview anybody when the entire NFL was in our backyard. They had the whole NFL world here and didnt even extend an interview. Daddy G cared about wins the boys are clowns and care about $$ and their dumbass kickball team.
January 5th, 2010 at 11:59 am
And Celebration breaks out all across the legend or Panther, Falcons and Saints Fans all across the globe not to mentionthe Rams, Browns, Lions, and every other team on the schedule next year who now has 1 less team to worry about!!!
Upside is that many of us now can plan something worthy of our time on Sunday next season and spend that money we would waste on the Bucs on something actually worthy!
Welcome to the toilet of the NFL Bucs!!! Beginning a new decade purposely choosing to suck! (UGH!)
January 5th, 2010 at 1:47 pm
Been saying all along that the Cowher thing was never an option. They Chose Rah and they are going to stick with him. That too me says that the owners DO have a plan and Rah is a big part of it along with the GM etc. Thanks for NOT paying attention to the folks wanted BIG changes and staying on plan.
January 5th, 2010 at 2:47 pm
Count me out/ Are deposit refunds still available?
January 5th, 2010 at 5:59 pm
Hey LL i apalogize if i offended you with that last comment. I got tired of hearing all of the crying. Anyways thats awsome that you still cheer the bucs on and it seems that we could kind of agree as a whole on who might be the real culprit…..our owners! Hey if we don’t spend wisely or at all…then NO COACH or PLAYER should be blamed except for the Glazers.
January 5th, 2010 at 9:14 pm
Bucsfanforlife, no problem..too old to get offended..lol..yes the real culprit is the owners..the players played hard..not their fault..not enough talent and 30 plus million under the cap..Raheem did the best he could under a very tough situation..he didnt get the best talent or coaches…remember they fired Gruden 3 weeks after the season was over and many good coaches already had jobs..i just think 3-13 is unacceptable for these owners who have said they are in business to win championships..the product they put on the field this year was a slap in the face to the hard working people of this region who have supported this team through thick and thin.
January 5th, 2010 at 11:47 pm
Wow Joe,
60 comments. That has to be a new record. I know I haven’t been here as long as a few of you old hacks, Mr Lucky, but when I first got here it was 1,2 or 3 comments max on a story and one of those was Joe’s LOL. I think I first saw Joe (possibly) reference this site on an old TBO blog. Had to check it out. It was like getting hooked on heroin. Now I am Junkie with another habit, drug of choice. I’m Keeping the Faith! and I think the future finally looks pretty bright for the Bucs.
