Glazers Are On The Clock
January 3rd, 2010In the NFL, when a team goes 3-13 its head coach needs a public stamp of approval from ownership to get the organization and fans focused on the next season.
That’s just the way it is when a club has a crappy season and its fans are beyond restless.
And if the Glazers intend to bring back Raheem The Dream, they should really give the media and fans the thumbs-up on Rah immediately, especially considering all the rumors about Bill Cowher to Tampa Bay.
Is there really any reason to wait?
Joe Henderson, the Tampa Tribune columnist summed it all up nicely in a post-game rant on TBO.com.
A bad thing for the Glazers would be a national leak that they’ve decided to fire Raheem and hire Cowher, and then have it draw out over days or even weeks without a resolution. The worst thing would be to have him then go somewhere else.
They don’t really have the luxury of time.
We know the arguments for bringing an experienced pro like Cowher on board, but the best one may simply be that the Bucs can’t afford another season like this one. If the Glazers are certain that they’ve seen enough in Raheem to guarantee that much brighter days are around the corner, they should stand up and say so.
Until then, their silence speaks loudly.
Joe’s waiting.

Coach Jimmy Johnson said it best today when asked is it right for a new coach to go 1 and done and his reply was….
“Some dont’ even deserve to be HC for 1!”
That sounds like Raheem Morris to me. He didn’t even deserve 1 season and it is highly likely that those other teams that were interested in Morris are now grateful that the Bucs kept him for those other teams have much better records this season with the Guy they got for their HC!!!

Joe – check out the Dream’s teeth in this photo compared to a more recent photo – he had some serious dental work since taking the HC job…. At least his teeth look better – then the team he was paid to coach….

I don’t think I can endure another season with this clown. Everyday I look for a glimmer of hope where he will be gone and another great curse will be lifted off the team.

I like Raheem. The players love the guy and played hard for him all season long. Besides, we all knew it was going to be a rebuilding year. I am a complete homer, and even I thought we’d go 4-12.
