Mad Twitterer Convinced Of Chucky Rumors
December 17th, 2009When he’s not spreading agent-driven speculation, The Mad Twitterer of the St. Petersburg Times spends his time covering the Bucs.
Like Joe, he too can connect the dots on this morning’s happenings with Redskins owner/tyrant Danny Snyder hiring Bruce Almighty. In fact, The Mad Twiterer is convinced Mr. Gruden is going to Washington.
Over the past few months, you can imagine Allen and Gruden at the 19th hole in Avila, where they both own homes, plotting their return to the NFL over a few cold ones.
Redskins owner Daniel Snyder needs to hire a proven head coach with a Super Bowl ring after the failed experiment with Jim Zorn, who will be fired at the end of the season. . There’s a few of those men available — Mike Shanahan, Bill Cowher, Mike Holmgren and Gruden.
It’s hard to imagine those other men would sign off to have Allen run the football operations. Gruden, on the other hand, would probably insist on it.
The Mad Twitterer later writes how, if he were either Bucs coach Raheem the Dream or general manager Mark Dominik, he would be a bit nervous right now.
Welcome to the club, Mr. Stroud.

That caption is funny. I used to fish on the Potomac at lunch time when I was on Anacostia.
Among the things we would find floating down the Potomac or washed up: a 2 liter bottle full of used syringes; 55 gallon metal drums; tires; condoms; rusted barbed wire and other interesting objects.
To say the Potomac is a disease bed of nastiness is an understatement.

why wouldn’t he, with those two workin the books and team that had been the lowest average salary in the nfl over that time period and posting division title in a division that five was years ago was the toughest in football. Leave your emotions on curb son anaylize it from a business aspect and no the ones the glazeir are currently running under you would be ignorant not to. As a tampa native I find we have too much of a new yorker/phillyfan/northeastern in the area where we have a tendency to be a little to emotional on things they really have no real understanding of whats going on. Hey were not the yanks, the eagles, the mets, or the red sox, we do not have a limited bankroll, those owner for those teams are more sports fans owning their teams as opposed to the back room bankers we have running our organization like a a fortune 500 company, but we need to understand they own the team and it will be run the way they see most profitable
