Joe’s Third Quarter Thoughts
November 22nd, 2009* Joe doesn’t mind a pass attempt on first down here and there. Especially if it gains a few yards.
* Dave Moore says the Bucs will get a first down on third-and-one all day with a run. Let’s see if he is right.
* Dave Moore was right. First down.
* King of Turds makes a catch. Helps to know the snap count Tito, but way to adjust quickly. Nice job.
* Yeah, Freeman should have thrown the ball away on the fumble. More importantly, you don’t let a linebacker fly in untouched.
* Touchdown. Ballgame. Unless Freeman has a miraculous comeback, game’s over. Saints lead by 17. You can forget the run game and Joe doesn’t think Freeman can win a shootout with Brees.
* Caddy is running well and so is Graham but can the Bucs afford to run down 17?
* Nice spin move by Freeman and a really good run.
*Clayton was open (not by much) but Freeman launched the pass to long. There were other guys open. Not a great decision but not a terrible decision. The interception really hurts.
* That beautiful Bucs rush defense is at it again.
* Touchdown Saints. Running up the middle. Shocking.
* This could get real ugly with a rookie replacing Jeremy Youngblood.
* Sure enough, damned near a sack.
* Bucs defensive line is absolutely getting BLOWN off the line of scrimmage. It’s sick.

I watched Dilfer for 5 years
and “Bust in Waiting tm joebucsbandwagon.com”
makes the key reads and throws better than Dilfer did on his last NFL snap!

We can talk about Freeman vs. ________ all day long – it doesn’t really matter as long as the Bucs defense stinks.
Personally I’m just sick and tired of watching this dink and dunk crap – wasn’t that one of the reasons Gruden was let go?
What ever happened to going vertical?
are the Bucs WR’s that bad that an inside slant won’t work against the Saints back-ups?

Man we really suck i dont understand with back up corners why the hell we wouldnt take shots down da field. the defence cant stop a run to save their asses. I dont know…. im at a lost does anyone see anything to make you feel better about our situation.

it is rarely the play calling…..
it’s all about the talent…
hit perspective reset…
it’s on the bottom of the blind fan bandwagon

Our D needs overhauling. The D coaching is not good, but the personnel is worse.

A miserable effort on both offense and defense today.

I wholeheartly disagree about play calling – this year is a perfect example of crappy play calling.
Usually you’re correct when you’ve got REAL NFL coaches and not this joke of interim “coaches”. They wouldn’t recognize what players talents are – just read Raheem’s comments about the defense – it took him 9 weeks to realize these players wouldn’t work in bates’s system?
As for being a fan – I knew the Bucs would lose this game – it just hurts to see this franchise fall so fast and so hard due to bone-headed coaches.
Regarding Freeman – he has pocket poise, I’ll give him that. He has potential i’ve never disagreed with that but to be honest Freeman/QB position isn’t the worse thing the Bucs have to worry about.

One thing that really stood out on the interception thrown to Clayton across the middle was that Josh had Stevens and Caddy wide open underneath, both would have gone for very big gains. I’m sure as Josh progresses and the game slows down for him, he’ll eventually get more comfortable seeing the whole field. Everyone knew there would/will be games like this along the way. Every QB goes through them.

Can we use a draft choice to draft a coaching staff?
