Trash Talkin’ Derrick Ward
September 24th, 2009Derrick Ward better hope he has a good game Sunday. Because if he doesn’t, he’s going to hear about it from his ex-Giants teammates.
That’s because they’ve been hearing it from him this week.
Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News reports that Ward has been trash talking with members of the Giants defense. Let’s just say whatever motivation they needed, they seem to now have.
When Justin Tuck was talking a little while ago about how much he wanted to play on Sunday in Tampa, he had one very specific reason:
“Derrick Ward has been calling me, calling guys around here talking a little trash,” Tuck said. “So I would love to be able to out there and shut him up a little bit.”
Apparently Ward, the ex-Giants running back (nicknamed “Wind”) who signed with the Bucs as a free-agent, has been calling his old Giants buddies with trash talk since earlier this summer. And Tuck said “He’s been very consistent with his message.”
And what was that message? “He’s going to run all over us.”
It sounded like Ward’s trash talk was some good-natured jibes between old friends. Then again, as well as he knows the Giants’ defensive players, it’s a wonder why he’d want to risk riling them up.
Joe hopes that Justin Tuck doesn’t play. If he does, could be a long day for the Bucs. If he doesn’t, it may just be a domino effect of subpar play by the Giants defensive front, which is what the Bucs will need to pull out a win.

Hmm, I remember the last time someone trash talked the Giants… the Patriots, right before they got destroyed by the Giants in the Superbowl.
That said, I was very happy to see them do it!

They won by a last second touchdown, how is that destroyed?
Anyways, Mr. Ward, SHUT UP!

How? Did you watch what they did to Brady? Did you see how they shut down the offense? Their defense destroyed the Pats.
How? I’ll tell you how. I was in Boston the day after the loss. They took a team that was undefeated, and roundly defeated them. Believe me, that team was destroyed. So was the city. It may not have been a wide margin, but it was enough.

WHOA they had Opie Taylor sacked for aloss and he got off a lucky throw that stuck to a guy’s head. That one play turned a close game that the Giants were winning knocking Brady around to a defeat . But thats last year this is 2009. The Giants are going to beat Tampa this week Im sorry to say. I’m really a Bucs fan but the owners shit on the fans cutting players hiring Rigga Morris Leftwich and drafting this kid Freeman instead of adressing the defense and other flunkies Bates Barry Olsen etc. Rigga Morrisscrewed Mc cown setting him up to fail for Gary Coleman’s BIG brother Byron what you talkin about Willis. Im hoping to see Leftwich fail and bring in JJ. It pisses me off to see this moron ruin our team and want to beam himself into schools to deliver his message, we already have one asswipe like that ruining our country . Our head coach should go to work in the school system teaching gym class I mean he has a 4 year college degree in phys ed.

And J Lynch should go back to grammar school. Or at least a class dedicated to using the space bar correctly.
And that was two seasons ago, not one.
