Pundits Pile On Bucs
September 9th, 2009Seeing a mess of Bucs doomsayers all on one computer screen had Joe doing a double-take.
BSPN.com is offering season previews and prognostications from 14 of their “experts,” and every last one of them is predicting a last-place finish in the NFC South for Tampa Bay.
John Clayton perhaps had the most reasoned comments.
DIVISION FINISH: 4 The Bucs are rebuilding their defense, which had been the backbone of the franchise for countless years. The quarterback position is also in transition. Put those things together with a young, first-year coach and a tough schedule, and it might be hard for the Bucs to win more than six games.
Joe can’t believe not one of these 14 clowns thinks the Bucs have a prayer. Surely it’s reasonable that at least one of them would like what they see out of One Buc Place. Maybe not.

Well…if you can’t kick a man when he’s down when can you kick him?

I’m a Buc fan and I would like nothing more than to see them be successful this year. However, when I analyze the schedule, the only game I’m confident the Bucs will win is against the NY Jets. I think the Bucs probably have a 50/50 chance against Buffalo, Washington, Seattle, and Atlanta (at RJS). They should have a 25% chance of beating the Cowboys, Eagles, Packers, and Saints. Throw in a surprise win somewhere along the line, and we come in at about 5 wins.

Taking into account the way that this new regime has made many questionable (in MANY opinions, CRAPY) decisions for this organization, Took a team that was 9-3 at one point last year and completely dismantled them, adding pages of NEW offensive plays and NO time to learn them, Choosing a mediocre (at BEST) QB to run the offense who is WELL documented as having ridiculously poor QB attributes, and all being done under a HC that obviously has got a clue as to what he is doing. As a Bucs fan for many, many years it is VERY hard to have much confidence in them being successful much if any this season!

Taking a team that was 9-3 at one point last year and completly dismantled them.HAHAHA the same team who couldnt win one more out of four for a playoff birth.couldnt beat atleast the Raiders the laughing stock of the NFL with an intererim head coach. That’s the reason you “dismantle an old worn out team.Let’s see, how many players they cut who are not even on a team.Brooks Garcia,Dunn,Hillard and the old D line guy from the Rams (he was so great i can even think of his name) That’s 5 guys who are’nt even playing this year.Sounds like Raheem and Dominick have a pretty good clue. They kept the best players and are building from there. Every team has to do that eventually,it WAS time.Oh and Gruden had so many great QB’s in his tenure….lol….give me a break ,and they also dared to drafted a QB in the 1st round.Sounds like were finally moving forward instead of bringing in other teams old worn out leftovers….finally.

Oh yeah the D line man was kevin Carter, also Greise is not on a team and New England cut Alex Smith who we traded for a 5th round pick.so that’s 7 …..that’s right 7 Bucs that were cut who ARE NOT EVEN ON A TEAM. Go Raheem & Dominick !!!!!
