Joe’s Third Quarter Thoughts
September 27th, 2009* Play was there to connect with Michael Clayton but threw way behind him. Joe can’t pin that on Clayton. That was on Leftwich. He had plenty of time to throw.
* Still no first down.
* Even Deckerhoff is getting frustrated. Coming back from a commercial, he says, “Bucs go three-and-out. What’s new?” Joe feels your pain Gene.
* Gaines Adams with a tackle for a two-yard. Yes, Gaines Adams! Of course, that was the same kind of a move that he got burned on last week for a big play at Buffalo.
* Manning didn’t have enough time to throw for that first down, did he? And damn the receiver was wide open.
* Well, at least early in the third quarter, the Bucs defensive line appears to be stopping the run a little better.
* Joe thinks the Giants have a tougher time gaining yards against their scout team in practices.
* Can’t fault the Bucs on the Boss catch. That was just a great catch. Sometimes, you have to tip your cap to the opponent.
* Deckerhoff slipped up and referred to the Giants as “we.”
* Bucs FINALLY get a stop. Though this time the Giants got a field goal out of it. Finally!
* Hurry up offense?
*OMG! A first down!!! Joe can’t believe it. A Bronx cheer in Tampa by the fans.
* Well, maybe if the Bucs got seven points for a first down, it might be a game?
* Joe still hasn’t heard Chris Hovan’s name called yet.
* You know things are bad when Eli Manning runs for a first down.
* Barrett Ruud is one of the few Bucs defenders earning his cash today.
* Gaines Adams absolutely was blown off the line on Jacobs ‘ first down run late in the quarter. I mean tossed off the line like he was a high school kid.

The biggest thing I see is this – the Bucs D is GASSED. i know it’s hot but there’s no sense of urgency, no sense of this is it. I’d make everyone run stairs at Ray Jay on Monday for 30 mintues non-stop like they did in 4th and Long.
The Bucs are acting like losers – you can see it and that’s what happened in the last 4 games as well.

1st possesion of 4th quarter and Byron muffs his first pass.
2nd down and the slowest black QB gets sacked
3rd down and incomplete
Bench this guy will ya?

The Bucs LOST this game. Give JJ the mop up will ya? Bryon’s gun shy after all the hits he’s taken and rightly so but come on Raheem

Mr.Lucky:
Are you Johnson’s agent?
You might get your wish. He’s waring up in the bullpen.
Joe hopes you are equally as enthusiastic about ripping Johnson apart if the stinks as you are pining for him to play.

Guys, these guys need to break out the creamsicle jerseys and start taping Bruce back on the helmets. I initially thought they’d win 3 games this year, but these guys could lose ALL 16. Get ready for that.

Art – no way!!!!!! Remember we have to play the Redskins yet!

There isnt enough Caybrew in the state of Florida to make this effort look even close to respectable.
Instead of discussing everything that is wrong, lets try to focus on whats right instead………………the site seems to have gone into screen saver mode………………..

JJ scores the Bucs 2nd 1st down with his feet!
September 27th, 2009 at 3:30 pm
JJ’s 1st pass to Bryant for 1st down
JJ’s 2nd pass to Clayton was nice – MC forgot the sticky
JJ’s 3rd pass gets tipped but still should have been caught
JJ’s 4th pass is a screen – Bryon would have been sacked on that play
September 27th, 2009 at 3:31 pm
are the Glazer Boys present?
have they left?
(i’m out of state; don’t have game on TV; upside — 49er/Vikes game is great!)

JJ avoids the blitz and delivers to Sammy S. for a 1st on 4th and 3.
JJ’s next toss for another 1st and goal! Nice catch Sammy
BTW I worked a deal with JJ’s agent. I get .01 for every post with JJ’s name 😉
September 27th, 2009 at 3:37 pm
JJ buys time and throws a frozen rope to Clayton in the back off the endzone for 6 points! MC drops the damn ball. The bad MC is here 2day.
JJs next pass – incomplete
JJ’s next pass get’s tiped (oh no images of Sim) 4th and goal.
JJ’s pass is deflected – he looked at the receiver all the way (Sammy S). On replay Sammy was bumped but he was 1/2 yard shy of the endzone.

Calm down Mr. Lucky. This isn’t quite like Rachel Watson voluntarily walking into your bedroomat night
September 27th, 2009 at 3:48 pm
JJ’s fault on the Clayton throw! What the hell are you smoking? It was right on his hands. Why are you protecting him anyway? Jump his ass the way you do everyone else on the team that’s not doing their job. Like our stinking coach! He looks like a lost ball in high weeds. He has nothing to say in his head set because he doesn’t know what to say. When are you going to realize how bad a mistake you and the Glazers made.
September 27th, 2009 at 3:54 pm
Joe doesn’t remember the Glazers or Mark Dominik consulting him on hiring Raheem the Dream.
September 27th, 2009 at 3:57 pm
JK – where did I say that drop in the end zone was JJ’s fault? Clayton dropped the ball. Clayton did a good job of getting open but Clayton (MC) dropped several passes 2day.
Raheem sure didn’t look like a coach 2day. He was outclassed, outcoached, you name it. Raheem didn’t have these guys pumped up at all. Hell the Gators could have beat the Bucs 2day.
September 27th, 2009 at 4:02 pm
Joe – Sorry for getting carried away but after watching multiple quarters of inept playing I finally got a glimmer of hope with JJ at the helm. Did th Bucs score? No – but it wasn’t JJ’s fault rather Michael “hands of stone” Clayton.
I mean MC has had some nice catches this year but the Bucs running game and MC are like the Seminoles – good one week and bad the very next week.
September 27th, 2009 at 4:08 pm
Mr Lucky the Clayton comment was directed at Joe, not you. It’s his first comment on this blog. Joe, I have to ask your forgiveness on the Glazer comment. I know they didn’t consult you but it seemed to me like you approved. Change for the sake of change is no good. Our coach sucks. More than I thought he would.

Hey Joe, I too blame you for losing Gruden, Monte and Bruce Allen, but have since gotten over it! That being said, the Bucs cheerleaders had a good game today, so at least someone in the Bucs organization did well today!!
