Clayton’s Second Touchdown Drop Of The Season
September 27th, 2009What can be said about Michael Clayton dropping an easy touchdown pass from Josh Johnson?
Joe’s waiting. Joe’s waiting. Anyone?
For those like Joe who pay extra close attention, this is the second TD drop of the season for Clayton.
At the very end of the loss to Buffalo, Byron Leftwich hurled a high ball to Clayton in the end zone with second remaining. Clayton had man coverage against him and clearly shoved his defender out of the way and then dropped the TD pass while wide open in the end zone.
Clayton was called for offensive pass interference and the game ended.
Yes, it was a meaningless play. But Clayton still dropped the TD pass. And now he’s done it again.
At least he’s an effective blocker in the running game.

A leopard can’t change its spots. Can’t teach old dogs new tricks.
See Career of Byron Leftwich for example.

Clayton is a complete bust. He reminds me of a baseball player the Ray’s picked up a few years ago old Vinny Ca-STEAL-ya. Optly named for stealing the Ray’s money while here in Tampa. The only difference between him and Clayton is that at least Ca-STEAL-ya had a few good season before coming here as a free agent. Clayton hd one decent rookie fluke season and has sucked or been hurt ever since and got a second huge payday out of the Glazers. ” What a bunch of IDIOTS ” ! Seems Gruden was right again. As far as he knows.

Clayton was the 5th WR drafted in his class
by the Bucs with the 16th overall pick
still sticks in my craw !
A hell of a lot of 1st choice cut still on the table

Joe “At least he’s an effective blocker in the running game.”
Really? What running game would that be?

“I DARE anyone to write why Michael Clayton is on this team. I DARE YOU!”

Michael Clayton is on the team because ……… If he blocks so well, why not let him play Center.

Clayton sucks, and he’s annointed himself a team spokesman??? As much money as these assholes make, there really should be a rule that players are paid based on their performence–i.e. you drop a TD pass (AGAIN, you fucking loser!), you lose a percentage of your pay! This was the MOST PAINFUL game I’ve been too! The only thing that made it look not so bad was that over half of the Giants fans at the game wore red or white, blending in with the few Bucs fans in the stadium! And if I hear Ledge mention ONE more time how putting Freeman in now is comparable to David Carr’s first year in Houston, I’m going to deck that asshole! This team’s strength is SUPPOSED to be the offensive line, so that being said, Freeman should be fine. Get him in there so all can see that he too is a bust 1st round draft choice, just like Clayton and Gaines Adams. Speaking of Adams, did that asshole even dress today because I didn’t see him doing anything after being called out AGAIN by Raheem the Bad Dream?!?! On a positive note though, it was great watching the Giants fans fighting with EACH OTHER during the game! We counted six fights from the Pirate Ship that we could see–what the hell is up with fighting with your own fans you dumbasses?!?! And to the chick who flashed me her boobs trying to get on the ship–they were very nice, but I’m really not allowed to let just anyone off the streets on the boat!!!

Oh come on. It’s just Michael being Michael!
September 27th, 2009 at 11:00 pm
Hey grumpy4669 if i flew all the way down to tampa from iowa would you let me on the ship?
September 27th, 2009 at 11:10 pm
Iowa, how big and how nice are your tits??? 🙂
September 27th, 2009 at 11:13 pm
Hey, in my defense, I told her and her boyfriend “look, I can’t let anyone come on the ship that doesn’t have a pass or is on the Captain’s list”, and the girl was like “even if I show you these?” and flashed me (and about 10 others) her boobs. They were pretty spectacular though, and if you’re the girl who flashed me today and you’re reading this, come back by during the Carolina game and I’ll make sure to get the Captain down there so he can make the call!!!
September 27th, 2009 at 11:16 pm
sorry no man boobs here you didnt really answer my question
September 27th, 2009 at 11:29 pm
Naw Iowa, i really can’t let anyone on, it’s pretty controlled by the Bucs.
September 27th, 2009 at 11:30 pm
Its cool I cant really afford the plane ticket anyway
September 28th, 2009 at 12:31 am
how much does it cost to get on the ship?
September 28th, 2009 at 1:46 am
This is a perfect example of how bad this season is:
You guys are talking about letting some chick on the ship that flashe her tits?? Really??
There is no talk about, maybe if this, or that happened we could have won??
We simply got demolished!! NO OPTIMISM
There was nothing at all that happened in this game to hang your hat on!! NOTHING!!
WE SUCK!!
Thanks Brian and Joel
I sure hope the Manchester United are doing WELL

Grumpy you’d better be careful about what you write here! Remember the Eagles employee who wrote negative things in a blog when they canned Dawkins – that guy got canned himself.
Well on a bright note the Bucs only have 5 more home games left and with this dismal performance the Glazers will be begging fans to come fill the seats in the near future against the falcons and panthers.
On a different note I wonder if the Bucs should start thinking about penalizing their players for shit like dropped balls or untouched sacks? Maybe financial penalties is all these players understand?
For example you get fine $1,000 for every ball that touches your hand and you don’t catch. The O-Line gets fined $350 for every missed blocking assignment. A RB gets fined $1000 for every fumble, etc.,
On the plus side if the QB doesn’t get sacked the O-line gets a $350 bonus per quarter of protection. The D-Line gets $350 bonus for every quarter they keep their opponents to under 35 rushing yards. Players get $1000 per sack and $1500 per interception.
Sure would make it interesting for payroll
