Freeman’s Interception Not His Fault?
August 15th, 2009Raheem The Dream is very protective of his beautiful bride, rookie QB Josh Freeman.
Joe was stunned when during his post-game interview on the Buccaneers Radio Network the head coach blamed himself for Freeman’s ugly interception returned for a touchdown in the third quarter.
Huh?
Raheem The Dream praised Freeman’s performance except for “one bad throw out in the flat, which probably was a bad call by me. Calling a hitch in that situatio when a guy is playing the sticks. …So that’s probably on me. I can probably take more blame for that than Josh.”
Why is Raheem The Dream calling plays? That’s a bit scary to Joe, considering it was an insignificant down in a preseason game.
But regardless, Joe just can’t possibly imagine how an interception like that can be the fault of the head coach.
C’mon, Dream. Your preaching hard work and accountability. An old-school football ethic. Just let Freeman take his lumps. You don’t have to cover for him.
