In short, Joe agrees with Florio: let the media vote on inductees. Joe gets tired of hearing both players and fans whine that the fourth estate decides who gets in.

Look, those are the people who concocted the Hall of Fame. Those are the rules they established. If someone wants to start another Hall of Fame, go for it. Get a non-profit organization set up and raise the funds (with the director getting to pocket a nice sum) and have new induction ceremonies and criteria.
