Kansas State quarterback Josh Freeman is now getting love from very high places (unaffiliated with draft fraud Mel Kiper). Freeman will visit with the Bucs and old friend Raheem Morris soon.

In what appears to be quite an about face from his previous comments, NFL Network’s highly respected draft guru Mike Mayock is now touting quarterback Josh Freeman as a possible top-10 pick.

All three quarterbacks [Matt Stafford, Mark Sanchez and Josh Freeman] are legitimate top end quarterbacks. If Sanchez and Stafford go early, watch out for a little bidding war to get back in the top 10 and get the third guy, Josh Freeman.

As Joe has mentioned many, many times, the Bucs drafting Josh Freeman would be an absolute nightmare for the franchise and a needless risk.

But after hearing Mayock’s latest comments, Joe is more concerned than ever that there is real fire behind the pro-Freeman smoke out of One Buc Palace.
