Well, I guess we’ll have to live with him for at least one more week. Stephen Holder of the St. Petersburg Times writes that Chucky let it slip that Griese will start the Bucs next game at Chicago.

It will be interesting to see how he fares next week against an opportunistic Chicago defense, on the road no less. Gruden will have a lot to do with his success or lack thereof. He called a much better game today, one that played to Griese’s strengths.

Woody Cummings of the Tampa Tribune hints in a video breakdown of the game that the Bucs starting quarterback job is Griese’s to keep. Having Griese as your starting quarterback should frighten any reasoned Bucs fan.
