Antonio Bryant is All Grown Up
August 22nd, 2008Sorry to be a broken record, but the Bucs need help at wide receiver. In a bad way.
Enter Antonio Bryant. Stephen F. Holder of the St. Petersburg Times noted that Bryant is trying to put his checkered past behind him and prove to the NFL why he belongs.
“Everybody knows what I’m capable of doing because they’ve been around me and seen me play this game for a while,” Bryant said. “But I’m taking a more mature approach and a more professional approach.”
Bryant could be a gem of a find. With Joey Galloway slowed by a groin injury, there’s no telling when he will be back. Without Galloway, defenses will stack the box and dare the Bucs to throw. With Davin Joseph out for possibly two months with a broken foot, it doesn’t add up to a good outcome unless the Bucs find a go-to guy for a receiver.
Bryant could be that guy.
