Leslie Frazier And The Packers
December 19th, 2014In a pathetic season in which the Bucs, if you believe the numbers crunchers, are historically bad, the season was even worse to due to little drama.
There were few reasons for a Bucs fan to remain engaged. Many were checked out by Halloween, many, maybe, for good. In a sadistic way, that changed thanks to the Chase for Jameis.
In a very negative way, that’s brought hope back to Bucs fans. The only other “hope” now is that in two starts future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers has had in Tampa, he threw three picks in each game, both Bucs wins.
No sober Bucs fan thinks the Bucs have much of a shot Sunday. The Packers, still fighting for their playoff lives, are coming off a loss at Buffalo and Rodgers is lethal coming off bad games and woodsheds opponents.
Then there is the ghastly record that Bucs defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier has had against Rodgers, by way of Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times.
Packers QB Aaron Rodgers’ numbers in last six games against Leslie Frazier, from his Vikings days: 5-1 record, 18 TD passes, 1 INT.

Those are sobering numbers.
In a way, Joe doesn’t see how Bucs fans — or the team — can lose Sunday. A win would be one of the biggest upsets in franchise history. A loss, and it’s one step closer Jameis.

You know what’s more fun than reading depressing Bucs stories? Doing your own mock draft, over and over and over and over again. I just did one that turned out like this:
1: R1P1
QB MARCUS MARIOTA
OREGON
33: R2P1
DE ALVIN DUPREE
KENTUCKY
65: R3P1
OT T.J. CLEMMINGS
PITTSBURGH
108: R4P12
WR RASHAD GREENE
FLORIDA STATE
151: R5P23
OT COREY ROBINSON
SOUTH CAROLINA
158: R5P30
DE HENRY ANDERSON
STANFORD
172: R6P12
ILB MIKE HULL
PENN STATE
193: R7P1
S SAM CARTER
TCU

The Bucs always get coaches from the lower rungs of last choices.

Even drunk, you just don’t see the win in this game plus the next one with the Saints means if the Saints lose they may lose the division if Carolina wins so they will be on their A game also.
Since Lovie is consistant unless McCown is hurt, we are toast and fall to the number one pick in the draft.
December 19th, 2014 at 5:05 pm
does anyone not think that if the bucs are winning somehow, lovie will order McCown to throw some picks.
Lovie is a total scum bag. Fans who attend the games need to be refunded.
Lovie needs to be Grilled by our Sh!t bag reporters as to why the f@ck he thinks McCown is a better option at QB.
I hope Glennon gets into Lovie’s grill.

It’s Mariotta watch not the stinkin Winston watch. How can you not see that Mariotta is 10 times better than Winston?

Jo mama
Glennon will sick his brother on Lovie, lol. Frazier is another nice guy loser. If I failed at something as often or as long as frazier has I won’t quit or kill myself. Can someone send frazier directions to the skyway?
December 19th, 2014 at 5:28 pm
I can Guarantee that we won’t take the chance on Winston and this makes me happy.
December 19th, 2014 at 5:58 pm
You want drama people, what if the rumor that Chicago is offering Cutler for our 1st and 2nd round picks is true…….there will be some serious drama. If that spoiled punk comes here to play we will all reminisce about the days of josh Freeman. What a nightmare if this is true,.
December 19th, 2014 at 6:37 pm
Hope Oregon FSU game is a shootout like 40+ points by each team and the winner I want him as my QB even more if he wins the playoffs.
December 19th, 2014 at 6:58 pm
lol frazier had a better defense when he played for the Vikings so no only will aaron Rodgers carve up a talentless defensive backfield we will be thoroughly outcoached in all phases because mike maccarthy has too many options available to him in the offense in which he controls. expect the obvious loss in the winning column and deal with it, I think i’d be more pissed off if the bucs pulled out a miracle and won this game then i’d hate lovie for sure

Never fear a loss is near….Sunday the packers will own 2 stadiums…
December 19th, 2014 at 8:14 pm
Would be hard to be pleased with a Bucs win on Sunday.
1. Bucs would likely end up picking at no better than #3 and possibly losing a shot at Mariota AND Winston.
2. Who really wants to see the bottom feeding Lions make the playoffs. There’s something pleasant about Suh getting pissed on his way out Motown.
3. Any chance that Arroyo and George Warhop might have of saving their sorry tails from being fired would be magnified.
December 19th, 2014 at 8:34 pm
or Mariota
Really Joe, outside of you, I don’t hear anyone begging for Jameis Winston. If you polled Winston v. Mariota, and Mariota won, would you stop trying to sell us on Jameis Winston all the time?

i am not rooting for a tank job for draft picks (we had no problem shooting ourselves in the foot this year even before we looked destined for the #1 pick), but i am very concerned (as Louis Friend hints at above) that upset victories over rodgers or brees might give the unfortunate impression that the putrid staff and players on offense are “turning a corner” and thus might escape the axe. not firing some of these lamebrain coaches this offseason would be a far bigger disaster than missing out on the #1 overall pick

Bucs are the Browns of the south, not one of the current top 5 QB could turn this team into a competitive product. Too many missing pieces with this team, drafting a QB right now is a mistake. Trent Dillfer as bad as he was won a championship because the piece’s were there.
